But that new guy Clowns on Fire seems to be fairly humorous and has useful things to contribute so far. Welcome (back;))!

Posted without comment. However, I'm pretty sure that's a CRJ cabin...

That's most definitely not a CRJ. Looks like an ERJ-140/145.

I think we need to face facts. Whatever we've been doing to try and preserve our international widebody jobs isn't working. Those jobs are continuing to go away despite our various contract sections and LOAs.
Now Dickson wants to "engage the association" yet again to deal with more displacements off the international fleet.

Every time we engage, we end up worse off.
Maybe its time to disengage. Instead of re-writing our contract whenever management needs something, why don't we try enforcing what we've got?

I am tired of my union being "off the table". (to quote our CEO)
We need to get back in the game.

I think if Einstein were on the seniority list here he might have a quote defining insanity. Something about doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

I agree, if they offer us a early retirement program we should tell them to stick it! We are keeping those guns until they are 65! That will show them!

Dunno, might be wise to get some senior pilots off the list. This move was quick, I am not sure if the first and only move in the Pacific. Senior pilots leaving might be a good thing.

So we're thinking 10 777-300LR's to replace the 16 whales? And 1-for-1 on the 330NEO's for the 767ER's? That about right?

I think Sailing forgot the (sarcasm) emoticon. :)

I don't have any problem with an early retirement plan. No quid for it though. It is all on the company to offer and fund it. Other than that, been there, done that, got several non functional T-shirts to prove the worthlessness of an early retirement plan....

This AE was a dose of reality for management.

Now we will pay the price. Concessions wrapped up with a bow.

Dunno , DOW took a sizable hit today.
