The end of the month, as that reflects 1/2 of the reserve guarantee for that month at the pilot's rate of pay.

The end of the previous month or at the end of the month that you convert?

The end of the month in which you convert. Assuming that you convert to your new position on August 31, your September 30 paycheck will be for 1/2 of the reserve guarantee in your new category at that new category's pay rate.

I support those working to improve our contract.
What is your take on Moak's Bloomberg interview? I'd hardly say his remarks qualify as "working to improve our contract." |

The guy that started the recall thread is part of our little Facebook group. He had a chance to talk to Moak in the past couple days, and he completely changed his mind and retracted his feelings. Apparently it was a 45 minute long interview, and all the reporter lifted was those snippets. Shocker than a reporter would totally jack something up....
To me, the stuff he said wasn't helpful to us in any context. It doesn't matter if he spent 30 seconds saying it; he should not have said that stuff at all. |

It is against ALPA's very inclusive nature to expel a member, but if the member is trying to kill the union and all attempts at reconciliation fail, then what would you suggest?
The member is not trying to "kill" ALPA. The member is using the democratic process to see if Delta pilots can be given an opportunity to vote in a new union. If you think that action will "kill" ALPA, that says more about ALPA than anything else. Also, ALPA has done nothing to reconcile. ALPA has done nothing but insult and demean. DALPA has funded a "special committee" devoted to destroy the DPA and has called all involved liars. Hardly an attempt at reconciliation Bar. This is why I think Tim is pushing this. You and the Special Committee have called Tim a liar and said he likely hacked his own website due to his incompetence. Evidence is starting to look uncomfortable for ALPA, yet Tim is only demanding that DALPA apologize. DALPA refuses and doubles down on the "liar" tactic with this latest "True Headings". If I was ALPA's counsel, I would issue an apology and have the hacker issue an apology. It is my belief that would have ended this a long time ago, and would probably still end it today. But being an ALPA insider means never having to say you're sorry. It's still not too late, but my bet is that ALPA will just continue to dig in their heels. Carl |

"Unity" the old-fashioned way...with a 2x4.
You are agitating for the expulsion of nearly half of the pilot group. How on earth can you preach "unity" after that rant? Carl |
