Whatever Moak said to him was enough to get him to do a complete about face on the subject.
Or at the very least, send out a letter to all of us apologizing for his catastrophic blunder.... |

You should be paid for the entire trip that was dropped. Look at the wide and/or reasons report for september and it should show the details of how much credit you got as a result of the bid.
PM me your emp# if you want and I can take a look at it... GG |

Do what you want Bar, but you're a terrible spokesperson for unity and reconciliation. You're good with other topics, but a huge fail on this one. Carl |

No idea (because I didn't read it), and I don't care. Moak does not control my reps, the direction they give to the NC, nor the vote that they will cast for the eventual Section 6 TA.
They would work heavily against us at that stage. |

Give it a few days. OE planners are messing with your schedule. You will see 4.e code or something like that when they are done with it. You will get pay protected, at least I did.

You get paid for the greater of that entire trip or any OE trip you fly that conflicts with it. The reason you're not yet seeing any pay for the trip is that they're waiting for you to complete OE, at which point they'll finish up the accounting.
Watch it carefully, though. They got mine wrong last year, costing me many many hours. It took ALPA's intervention to restore those hours. |

Or at the very least, send out a letter to all of us apologizing for his catastrophic blunder.... Here's the part that troubles me the most about the whole thing. I agree that Moak doesn't negotiate for us. I think those quotes, coming from the ALPA President, are extremely hurtful to our effort... but it's not as direct an impact as if our reps and negotiators believed and said the same thing. So... with that in mind... I wrote my reps last week as soon as I read the Bloomberg story. I gave them my input that I think Moak should be recalled ASAP. Whether he is directly representing us or negotiating for us is irrelevant. He's out there saying things that are damaging to our effort to restore our profession and our careers. AND with C2015 right around the corner! Do you think my reps made the argument that Moak didn't really say or mean those things? Heck no! Their argument was that there is nothing wrong with what he said! That's MY REPS... the guys who are directly representing me... saying THEY AGREE with what he said and they think it was smart. All I can say is wow. :( Unbelievably disappointing. No... strike that. Completely believably disappointing. Ladies and gentlemen.... What you see is what you get. What Moak said in that Bloomberg article is basically what I predict you will see from DALPA in 2015. It's consistent with his past actions and messages. It's consistent with the philosophy of the majority of our MEC over the past decade and currently. |

The guy that started the recall thread is part of our little Facebook group. He had a chance to talk to Moak in the past couple days, and he completely changed his mind and retracted his feelings. Apparently it was a 45 minute long interview, and all the reporter lifted was those snippets. Shocker than a reporter would totally jack something up....

That's meaningless Clamp. Mr. Moak is on record as having said what he said. If he was misquoted, it's incumbent upon him to correct the record. Not by responding to people who happen to call him, but to all ALPA members. He has yet to do that. Very troubling. Changing the mind of Erdude32 ain't gonna cut it. Unless of course he meant exactly what he said.
Carl You know how much I dislike Moak, but I'm willing to admit that I was wrong when I was wrong. |

And here's one more truism for you. ALPA insiders are concerned about one thing and one thing only, keeping their place at the FPL feed trough. Carry on soldier. Say, you wouldn't happen to be on FPL would you? |

It's certainly not meaningless- saying that is hyperbole. I believe it to be significant that his mind was changed like that. You know as well as I do how horrible and agenda driven reporters can be, and pulling a couple snippets out of a 45 minute conversation can be colored a wide range of ways.
