Anyone know how many of those guys (age 64.5+) are on the Whale today, and system wide? There's a few (5?) on the 777 in ATL, not sure about DTW 777. There are 5 ATL 777As that turn 65 later this year. In 2015 there are 19 ATL777As and 3 DTW77As that turn 65. |

Displace 25 of you. It's pretty simple really. There will be 25 fewer 747 captains on December 2. If they go early, they get a nice signing bonus. If they don't, they get an all expenses paid trip to Virginia Avenue.

That's obvious, thus not what I'm referring to. I mean if no 744A's take the deal, will the company really pay 25 non-747 guys...or will they try to change/cancel the whole thing?
In the event there are fewer than 25 B747 Captain Program participants, then the 25 most senior non-B747 Captains who properly apply will participate in the Program. Looks to me that even if zero 747 captains retire, 25 .non-B747 still get the good deal |

My understanding is that the company won't displace any 744As until January, after the fence is down. Nothing requires that of course (they certainly could post a displacement bid prior to then) but I thought I read that somewhere.
Won't happen with 757 retirements which will cause far more displacements/stagnation over the long haul. |

From the crew resources seniority list, one 744A turns 65 later this month. There are 13 744As that turn 65 in 2015.

With reserves thrown in the mix, and the need to cover out of base like we do now (more likely in a micro base) I think any savings would be negated. I also recall the justification made many times by crew resources that it's cheaper to DH crews than to establish a small base. So what's changed?

Hey, not to start a stampede to the DL Net, but some of the Oct. Capt. lines are available via the backdoor.
