Yep. Any more rumors from Glen the Immortal?

I heard from the network people during indoc that Australia was a possibility and Vietnam a distinct possibility. UAL flies to Vietnam (or used to - I don't know if they dropped it) so it might be a moneymaker.

Yes, that is about 18 months to two years down the road. I think that we will do SYD as soon as we can, but that is what they have been preaching on the Wed Afternoon chats.

Glen was actually talking about his age in an interview. Says he is not as young as he looks. He made a vague reference to retirement in a few years.

I don't know if it is salary review time, or if he's serious. If he's serious, I hope he has trained disciples, because he sounds mortal (or at least smart enough to enjoy retirement at a reasonable age)

Anyone here know if Delta S3 and S3B passes are good for a code share sigment? Example: ATL-MEX-PVR with MEX-PVR segment on Aeromexico.

I think that you can use them but they are only good for the seats that we have bought on that flight. Not the ones that the airline that we are code sharing with has. IE is all of the DAL seats are sold they are not required to give you a seat if some of their seats are not sold out.
FWIW this has been my experience on AM out of DFW.

Agreed on both posts. I saw a great documentary on Apocalypse Now a few years back and they spent a great deal of time on how it really messed up Martin Sheen. He got so in character that the opening scene of him in the hotel room drunk listening to the Doors was not scripted. He got really loaded one night and started his dance and mirror shattering episode and they just ran the cameras on him.

I repeat a previous post, you could pay Hauenstein $20 mil a year and I wouldn't care. I credit him on the reinvention and survival of DAL. He is the ultimate chess master and none of us simpletons have any clue what he is going to do with the route maps once he gets some A330s, 747s heck even the DC9s on the property. I'd be very afraid if I was at the other carriers with where he could take us in 3-5 years. I just hope we pay him and Cortelyou enough that they don't leave.

Hey,

Maybe we'll steal him back to CAL but I bet our bean counters won't part with the coin it would take to do so.

Truly one of the worst decisions we ever made was to not counter Deltas offer and keep him here.

He was probably gunning for the CEO spot when Kellener(?) left. That's probably what it would take to get him back.

Leave Of Absence

Anyone have any gouge, or experience, with Leave Of Absence from Delta. Easy to get or special hoops to jump through. not a lot of info in PWA.

Don't have any experience, personally, but I think it depends on the staffing levels in your category versus needs. That is; in some cases, probably easy, in others no way.
