Well it doesn't matter that you thought you were talking to the mods because you sent it to the entire world by posting it instead of recommending this to the mods via the report button. :)

Now that we've cleared that up, I certainly hope this thread remains open and I expect it will. No violations of the forums terms of service have occurred, have they? I don't see where...sure there is a debate going on about the merge stuff but it's either going to happen in this thread or happen in a new one. Might as well happen right here and there is a lot of information on here.

This is perhaps the most informative thread this forum has ever seen (of course -- rumors are mixed in -- but still there is a lot of good stuff that I have read). And certainly the longest!

Nah, I just get tired of your rhetoric. Your post doesn't even thinly veil your feeling that NWA is saving DAL... hence the blah blah blah... I don't think either side is saving the other. Hopefully it will be symbiotic. You don't recognize that-at least not pubicly-sometimes the Europe market sucks.. sometimes (believe it or not) it's Asia. Hopefully, the combined company will be able to really kick some ass when all is said and done.

First off I have never said either side is "saving" the other. It's the dal side that portrays that one. My post before was meant to say both sides have their weak sides and hopefully the weak sides are offset by the strong sides of the other.

Finally on your last point, I have been saying that for months ;)

bottom line here guys is that we have two great airlines about to get married. Let's hope the puzzle pieces fit nicely and we can all be happy.:)

Yes, and the delivery vans are turning on to the street in front of the church. I think the date of corporate closure is very soon.

Everyone is unavailable for a reason...

I'm not falling for your trick. You're trying to be rude so I'll get angry and write something rude back, and the moderators will lock the thread. Have a great day, theman!

Here you go,
DOJ will approve by the end of this week after the markets close on Friday. This all happens before the election and it gives all the lawyers a chance over the weekend to fly to NYC and start the paperwork for the actual DCC.:)

Oh Crap,
If I am not careful I am going to start sounding a lot like Michael Boyd...:D

"It's the DAL side, it's the DAL side... why can't they be more like NWA and just sit on their hands and let the cards fall as they may!" (bull@#$@#).

It amazes me that post after post you criticize DAL pilots for doing exactly what they should be doing. Your side is doing the exact same thing which is what they should be doing. Grasping at anything they can to paint an argument in their favor.

How is DAL portraying that they are saving Northwest? By fighting for their seniority (as both sides should)? All I have heard from anyone is that we are bringing the best of two companies in attempt to become one massive powerhouse of an airline.

If in regards to the DAL side you are talking about individual pilots I don't think their is one pilot here that has ever been under the impression that NWA was or is a dying airline.

In a perfect world this SLI would come out being equal for everyone, pretty hard to do. So perhaps some of the attitudes on here are not being fueled by the fact that one airline is saving the other, but instead that one airline is acquiring the other. Regardless of what airline is bringing what to the table at the end of the day that is how this transaction is going down. Delta acquiring NWA. So when your company is acquiring another I'd say it's a pretty natural instinct to be of the opinion that if someone is going to end up "making out" on this deal and it can't be equal, that it better be yours.

I am really puzzled as to why everyone is so bent out of shape when it comes to posters wanting the best for their side. Stop taking things personal and realize this is a pretty big deal, totally worth fighting to the death for, and in the end not our decision to make anyway.
