Maybe Greenbrier is still available...:D

I'm confused. I thought one big reason we didn't need to leave ALPA is that ALPA never interfered with Delta pilots...the implication being, Delta pilots can get whatever they want from ALPA. Obviously not the case.

The takeaway is, Delta's pilots' clout with ALPA is nowhere near what we've been led to believe. The Delta pilots' agenda in this case was derailed by another legacy's pilot group (with plenty of help from most regional pilot groups, who have the most to loose if Delta pilots pay lower dues).

Good thing we subsidize pilot groups whose agendas are no aligned with ours. Yay, ALPA.

When did DALPA issue a dues refund? I haven't gotten a refund yet.

Chairman's letter August 2012:

"Last week, after careful consideration, your MEC voted to refund a substantial portion of the SMRA to the Delta pilots. After reviewing our current and projected finances, the MEC elected to refund SMRA excesses from 2004, 2006 and 2010.

These were years when excess funds existed that were not subsequently used in deficit years. In total, $7,081,729 will be refunded on a pro-rata basis."

will the common rating of the A350 & A330 have any bearing on our WB order?

Just saw the common type approval, that's great...I would think it couldn't hurt.

Is that why she started wearing this shirt?

Considering she wasn't even born until the second term, I figure the shirt must have come from your dresser after a night Taylor "was up studying and accidently fell asleep in the library."

At least when Putin sees this, his blood will run cold and there will be no Tupolev's challenging the sovereign airspace of the United States of America!

Way to go Buzz!

I know you would have been much happier with a Pelosi/Reid shirt on her, but leave her alone. She seems like a great kid.

And take off that Che Guevera shirt Bar, you look ridiculous. ;)

When is the big wide body announcement any way? Are they trying to delay the announcement until C2016 voting begins with the threat that they will cancel the order if we don't vote for 3/3/3/3 raises?

Sorry, my cynical alter-ego got ahold of my IPad while I was outside.

When were you hired?

It was less than two years ago. I gave the entire amount to the Delta Pilots Charitable Fund.

The takeaway is, you have no idea how the votes were divided, and you're making stuff up.

I'm not sure how those two correlate. ALPA does not interfere with our negotiations, our CA process, etc. That said, ALPA's constitution and by-laws are determined by the members of all ALPA MEC's.

Given that the Delta pilot group managed to snag two of the four national officer slots this week, I would disagree with your takeaway.
