I am the Master!!!:).

I'm in Sapporo on a GS to ferry an airplane back to Seattle after an engine change. Supposed to get back to Seattle on the 17th about 10am. Before we left the hotel in NRT this morning, I noticed a Hong Kong trip in open time that left on the 18th. I swapped my trip on the 20th for it..........drum roll..........We just got notified that the airplane won't be ready so we are delayed 24 hours! KaChing!:D

Sorry guys, I'm like a kid in a candy store now. I can't believe it worked out just like I hoped it would. I just couldn't keep it to myself.:o

Well if he were in Narita like the rest of us waiting on an engine, I am sure he would have bought a few beers! Some guys just have a knack for making $$$! :D

Lord it's hard to be humble...

Is that a humble backpacker I see?

All I know is you're buying beers and dinner...If I ever meet you!

Honestly Denny, real question, pm if necessary, and you don't really have to answer the question, but... I would like to know... If you ever do the math, what the sweet spot is to keep as much of your income rather than giving it to the gubbmint.

With your success this year, it might be worthwhile, if you haven't done it already, to have a tax plan, in order to keep as much of your income as possible.

You are the current King! That GS on the 330 is paying more then 600 an hour with PS and DC! Add in getting the other trip dropped and your around 900 an hour. I would take the engine change crew out drinking so they are so hungover they have to skip working a day and let the 1 for 3.5 work it's magic on the GS.
The closest I have come to that was getting a 6 day trip bought by a 4th floor type. He then no showed the trip and I got it back on a GS. Sadly it was at copilot rates but for some reason flying at triple pay made it a very enjoyable trip!

Max out your 401(k), give to charity, have a side business with a lot of expenses. The other option is to not earn enough to pay taxes. Retirement would be a good way to accomplish that. I strongly recommend retirement for everyone senior to me. :D

Start an LLC, run up expenses.

Well...um...you see....um....that was different.;). Its a good thing Jimbo dropped a few pounds in the off season. He woulda killed over by now with the way his Noles play such close games.

Do you mean by "sweet spot" to limit income below the next "tax bracket"?

Well, I will gladly by you dinner and drinks!:)

I don't know what the sweet spot is but I can tell you one thing, these greenslips can be addictive...

This has been a career year for me. I don't think I will ever come close again and that's okay. I've done it once. Just kinda wish it counted towards 60% FAE. But then again, I kinda don't. Gonna send you a quick pm.

Denny
