Thanks Scambo, my lookback was good. I didn't realize this information was available, I eventually found it on the "Block Hours Flown" report.

Strangely, I got it on the 2200E run, so now the request is deleted and I can't look at it.

Not sure why it denied on the 1700E run, but I got it now!

It's kind of a pain to set up (and even to use until you get the hang of it) but Easy Swap allows you to filter trips and then it will log in and enter all the swaps by rotation #/date for you.

I think it's $4.95 a month, but it's worth it if you get one good swap a year. You also need windows and the persistence to work through their crappy interface

Flightline.com -- Download Files
Lots of problems with Flightline software right now...
EasyBid doesn't work with the last 2 changes in PBS, can't do vacation slide or pairing departing on. It will crash the bid import if you use these commands. I've pimped them 4 times now, no fixes for months.

WidgetWorks no longer works with the VoiceCallSystem / telephone system, they haven't gone in and tweaked the #s program uses to match the latest changes. Weeks now.

EasySwap gives me issues too on the open time import. Stopped using that one.

Company has basically gone 99% to crap since Saber bought them. You can only get a zero knowledge phone-answerer when you call, never anyone with any actual tech knowledge. And I'm mostly convinced the dude on phone doesn't even actually take bug fix messages and pass them on.

Did you put the request in close to 1700? They don't seem as concerned about when PCS is run as they are about when airplanes leave the gate. Sometimes it's a little before the scheduled time, sometimes it's a little after the scheduled time.

Default More PCS Questions

1. How do you trade a four day trip for four day trips? There are only three slots per request in the swap-with-pot template.

2. Does PCS take bad day/worse day into account when processing swaps? For instance, could I swap a one day trip that is right at the reserve limit for a one day that is two reserves below the limit?

I totally agree!

Just trying to get my head around the reduction in the RJ fleet, the 930 new hires this year, the hundreds of new captain positions, and the record profit sharing is difficult.

So I prefer to concentrate on things I don't fully understand.

I agree. You don't "fully understand."

Are referring the new hires that were promised in the C12 sales job a year before they actually started?

Imagine how big the profit sharing would be if we kept it--instead of self-funding our 4833 "raise." Say, didn't dalpa imply we'd never see the "3-3" part of C12?

Your spin is weak sauce.

Why can't you ever lighten up? Flight Ops mgmt wanted to hire a lot earlier and the higher ups held them back. If we had gotten 2% less pay raises and kept 2% more profit sharing we would be in the exact same place. At least your spin is pretty consistent. Negative. OFG

Why does it matter who in management did or did not want to hire? To us, the result is the same.

Have you considered that by repeating that nonsense, you are being manipulated by a classic "God cop-bad cop" bit out of a world-class union buster's playbook?

Not that I agree with PD with a lot of things but the giveback of profit sharing was an epic mistake. Basically you are saying, as my union rep has said now, that we sold profit sharing for too little in c2012.

Let me ask you this, as you state above, do you think c2012 would have passed a vote if the pay raises were 2% less? Not a chance. Even Delta guys that rubber stamp vote would have had a problem with that.

If the company wants to talk about monetizing profit sharing this time around, then it needs to come after we get the pay raises without giving it up.

Plans change. Lately they've changed a lot. They used to build more core cost in to all the plans, which is why they could "subsidize" the phones for you. Now plans are generally cheaper and include a lot more (minutes and texts were all add on extras for most plans not that long ago) so if you did nothing other than move your paid for phone to the plan you have now, you would be paying even less per month than you are now.

But all most people care about is "out the door" or "per month" costs. That's how they obfuscate the true price of the phones they are selling. Rest assured you are paying full retail for your phone, and it costs about 700-800 dollars.

Part of that may be offset by your trade in, and the $299 "down payment" even though they don't call it that. But you are essentially financing the remainder into your plan. You don't see it because while you were doing all that, she moved you to a cheaper plan, and that's great. But that plan was available to you regardless, and you could have moved to that same cheaper plan anyway with your old phone, and if you did you would be paying less per month than you are right now.

Whatever your monthly bill is, it is higher for the next 12-24 months than it would be under the exact same plan had you switched to that exact same plan and brought your own paid off phone (your old phone).
You are just beating a dead horse. I have 3 phones on my plan. My old bill was $168 a month. My phone was eligible for the upgrade the the other 2 lines were not. I went in and got the iphone 6 and my new bill is $108 per month. I went from 1000 minutes to unlimited minutes and I went from 2GB to 3GB of shared data. I walked out of the store more than elated. My bill was reduced $60 a month and I got the new phone. I did a follow up call with my sales gal and asked her if I wouldn't have gotten a better deal without upgrading my phone and she said no. I'm glad I don't consult with you you for financial advice
