Is he still stateside? If so, they'll pull him off without pay. I forgot mine one time and was able to swap with another dude for a domestic trip. Just happened to be in Atlanta though. Scheduling made it happen at the last minute.

On a separate note... Anyone else hear a rumor that someone recently failed ro make it through 88 initial because they knew their recall items/limitations/walk-around slides cold, but could not recite ftb's 88 post from memory?

Can't disagree with the Hispanic contention. However, the Rs really haven't screwed that up. It's been both sides of the aisle. I believe BO's executive order is both unconstitutional and a seriously bad precedent. We'll see how it shakes out. I live in SoCal. I live (and pay for) the consequences of a poor immigration policy.
In any event, the country ain't buying the hopey changey thing anymore. It blew up. The Dem's squandered a 30 point lead in the 4th quarter. Honestly, I'd hoped BO would've been successful. We all would have prospered..... Probably not for the first bolded part... And wait: For the second bolded part: We all would have prospered? What? This doesn't have anything to do with politics. Let's be honest. Are you not better off now than you were in 2008? There is not one person I know that isn't. Not one. |

The economy is far bigger than one man. |

newK... Remember, every president the last 40 years except Carter have had the markets hit record highs in their terms.

Are you saying that you believe we haven't prospered, or that we have? :)
Not to mention, the stupidity of saying "are you better off now vs then?" Most people were better off in 2007 vs. 2001, and look what changed in a bit over a year after that measurement period. |

I'm saying it makes me go crosseyed trying to blame/take credit for the economy just via the guy in office.

I'm actually challenging his insinuation that the majority of people aren't doing better. Ie., if Buzz says we all would have prospered if Obama had been successful, then I at lest get to challenge the assertion that we haven't been prosperous. As of now, and as of when Buzz posted, I don't know of anyone who isn't better off (more prosperous) then they were in 2008. Ok. Maybe the Chicago Bears are not as prosperous as the were in 2008, (they were 9-7 that year) which makes Buzz happy. :D |
I have to say this...
The single biggest pro-Obama and pro-liberal-agenda pundit I ever encounter in my life, and circumstance essentially forces me to actually wade through it despite having absolutely no desire to listen to such (either pro OR con!), is this thread, and even more specifically, posts by newKnow. Which are usually followed by something similar by fiigmo. Come on man, it's the #1 thing I DON'T want to have in my life, and yet I'm 3/4 through reading your posts thinking it will be something interesting and intelligent and BAM, you keep sneaking this liberal agenda verbiage in on me. Give it a rest guys! |

Give it a rest guys! Yes, Roadkill. Way to be objective. The only things even remotely political I've said in the past 3 months has been: 1.) ALL news sources have sucked in regards to their ebola coverage, 2.) Delta's response, and our take on, the immigration plan should not be political, & 3.) In contrast to what was claimed, most people are better off then they were in 2008. *Plus, I've already stated, I'm not on Obamas team. I'm on the President's team, regardless as to what party he belongs to. Each and every one of my points were in response to something someone else said. But, you take offense at me. Ok. But, maybe you need to come on and search the sources of the #1 thing you don't want to have in your life. Because, I can't think of a time wen any of them originated from my end. Nothing is being snuck in on you besides the first volley, which isn't being issued by me. I would hope that the next time you look to see who I'm responding to, so you can include their name in your mix of offenders to your desire for non-political talk, as well. Because, you are missing a lot of them. (* I've posted the source for by belief in a strong Executive many times before. It was written by GW Bush's lawyer.) |
