What? You expect pilots to read Flt Ops Memos? That is way too hard. Better to just log on here and create a gnash cluster!

how does that fix the security problem? Didn't the gun smuggler have a sida badge? So those types of upstanding citizens can still go through the cheese grater.

Just another phase in the pilot harassment program.

Curious thought. Do you really think they care that much about us to actually sit around and come up with ways to make our lives that much worse just because? Don't flatter yourself. This is more a knee jerk reaction to government concern with security lapses at the airport. Unfortunately, we are caught in it just like the dolphins and sea turtles in tuna nets, while the fix never really fixes anything.

I gotta ask though...and I'm not ATL based. Are all of the food schleppers and magazine sellers going to have to go through security now also? If not, I'm ****ed for y'all.

I think they already go through security. There is an employee line on the north, not delta, side of tsa.

It's not a big deal if we go through some type of enhanced security, just what does this mean for an already slow bus system? I've heard of pilots who now just skip and use the park and ride services but I'm too cheap for that.

I can't wait to just sign in using the efb at the gate and skip the crew room completely.

The security line is going to be an absolute zoo at the largest pilot base in the world.

I wonder where they are going to drop us off now?

Gotta love knee jerk reactions from politicians!

RA video interview regarding gulf carriers for those interested...

U.S. airlines to take on state-owned Gulf rivals - CNN Video

"That is categorically false," Anderson replied. "It’s a great irony to have the UAE from the Arabian Peninsula talk about that, given the fact that our industry was really shocked by the terrorism of 9/11, which came from terrorists from the Arabian Peninsula."

It was actually a non-event for the most part. It's really weird... the trees look like siberia, but the ground looks like nothing even happened (except all the pine tree branches that have broken off).

I'm beginning to think RA really doesn't like the Gulf carriers lol.
