Rumors of the day!
1. LAX 717 base will open on the next AE
2. Just purchased 4 more 717's......now will have 92
3. Soon we will announce a code share agreement with a ME carrier. (ouch)

Wait and see.

I thought that was SkyWest that you were putting on your jets that (may or may not!) get into southeast! :D

Are the 717s flyable or parts?

Seeking some help with Non-Rev Questions.

I've looked on the website, and I've found info on non-reving, but nothing that addresses some of these questions. If there's a page or document someone can steer me toward for more info I'd really appreciate. Otherwise, maybe I can get some help on some questions I have.

1. I've found some flights on travelnet that have DL listed under the carrier, but an * next to the flight number. So I'm unable to use that flight for non-rev listing on travelnet. When I saw this, I did not see another DL flight on the same day that would have been an alternate option. Do we have some DL flights that we can't non-rev on? An example: JFK - FCO on Mar 14. Three flights that day are shown (all three have DL for the carrier), but only one doesn't have the * and thus allows me to create a listing. I'd screenshot it, but APC says I can't save any pics to my practically empty photo album.

2. I've come across some flights that have AF listed as the carrier (and no DL option for the same flight). I then went to eZed to see if there was a Zed option under AF, but the flight wasn't listed. Is this normal? In this case it was AF Flight 3579 ATL - FCO on Mar 14. Are there some flights we have listed on travelnet that aren't going to be an option for us to use by paying a Zed fair? When I went to eZED and entered ATL-FCO on Mar 14 it came up with various flights that had two or three legs, but not direct flights for ATL-FCO, and no flight number for AF 3579, which is the flight that comes up on travelnet.

Looking for some schooling.

If anyone throws you tips on this, I'd also be interested in learning about non-revving and jumpseating on other airlines. My self-directed research hasn't been very fruitful and I'd like to be better at commuting (unfortunately). Thanks in advance!

No way on the code share with an ME carrier. After the calories that Richard has burned lobbying the press, congress, and our union about the middle east threat he'd be the laughing stock. Plus there's no way that Air France / KLM would allow it.

I think you may be looking at AF/AZ/etc flights that show up (why I don't know) on travelnet. The first clue is they will usually have a limited number of seats (I think like 9 or something) but far less than the number of seats on the plane. Sometimes the same flight will show up twice in certain places too. So an AF flight might show up as AF1234 and DL5678 so look at the departure times and make sure they're not really the same flight. If they are, look into who operates that flight.

Thanks...I went to Delta.com and there the flight showed it as an Altalia (AZ) flight (which it did not indicate on the travelnet page other than to have an * next to it).

Still haven't figured out why an AF flight doesn't show up on eZED but other AF flights show up. My only conclusion is they don't want to make that non-stop available for ZED.

I don't see why/how they could lock out an entire AF flight from a ZED. Are you sure that AF flight you checked wasn't really a DL flight somehow showing as an AF flight? The JV works both ways and depending on where you're looking one flight can show as either/or as well as both.
