I've gotta give props to the guys answering the PBS help line phone. Dave just saved me an extra month of reserve by catching a screw-up in my bid. Fear the clear schedule and start next bid on your last bid... Too much cut and paste!

(That's a true story. I won't name names, but in MSY we had a Captain that really lived this motto.)

Chill out, they are fngs. We were all there once, or twice
I was brand new at a regional. ORD to MKE. I think it was a 15 minute flight. Passing 5000 for 6000, the captain tells me I have the airplane because he needs to catch some ZZZ's.

Accelerated narrow body deliveries. What did I miss...

Thanks, kargo
It means that we started hiring too late.

I also have to wonder if the pwa renegotiation time line is to put pressure on AA. Idk.

When I first started flying checks at night I was paired up with a guy we called, "Gear Up, Head Down" because as soon as the gear was up and the airplane trimmed up, he'd go head down, nodding off, while hand flying in the climb.

I'd just gently nudge the yoke in the right direction from time to time in the climb, and put the A/P on at top of climb. He was building his own house in the daytime, by himself, and flying all night to pay for it.

We have a lot of fantastic resources. Some pilots just refuse to use them. Your paying for it with dues so no point in not getting as much out of it as you can!

Clear Schedule Start Next can screw you, no doubt! I like to keep my bids very simple, by using more 'avoid' at the top, then onto awards, but I learned the hard way what -not- to do!
