Earliest conversion would still be after though, right?

I usually disagree with a lot of what PD says, but not this time. I love the flexibility of dropping trips that we have. Any min month provision in a future TA will be an automatic no vote from me.

I agree 100%, just sent letter to rep yesterday saying exactly that.

Call scheduling first. Be very polite. If they don't fix it, call ALPA. Look at your time card and make sure it was a personal drop first. I have never seen them do that or heard of them doing that.

Called scheduling. Very nice interaction. He saw it was wrong but had to talk to a sup to figure out how to fix it. Called me back a few hours later. All better now.

Thanks - I should have done this in the first place, but in my last job I had not found scheduling to be nearly as cordial.

Thanks again all.

March something, and there are many senior "want my summer off" guys who are saying they want a better life. We all know that saying it and bidding it are two separate things.

No mar scheds yet :(
Reading this thread is absolutely bumming me out. All these new obvious drones coming out of the woodwork posting stuff that seems designed to prep me to lose something... profit sharing or whatever. Most wildly profitable time ever and all i hear is what crappy workrules im about to get, sick time witch hunts, min hours in a month, productivity crap that will drive manning losses and more stagnation and QOL losses. No rallying speech on improvements and victory from my union, instead i suspect they are driving all these concilliation posts. Just depressing this is the climate during a time we shiuld be expecting qol and workrule gains. I have no idea how behnke ever achieved the gains we've ****ed away, let alone whats left that we seem about to **** away.

^^^ true.

After 15+ yrs within ALPA, I haven't seen anything different. Granted ten of those belong to the lost decade.

Record profits among all airlines, now will be the only time, in a long time to capture major gains. That way when the next down turn comes, when givebacks are needed.... We aren't in a worse position.

I'm not thinking so much gains the company hurts... But come on... Let's make it a leading contract. None of this mediocre "cost neutral" crap.

Delta crews work better than most airline crews I've witnessed. Should be rewarded, and not with PS. One oil price spike, one terror attack, and poof... Buh bye profit.

--wind and solar are not energy, they are technology. Often discounted and ignored, they are the future. Innovation will never end and costs will continuously drop.

--Jim Cramer may think Elon Musk is crazy, but his acceleration of electric cars has to scare Ford, GM and the rest of the industry to death. If Apple jumps in the auto business (and I feel it is a certainty) there will be no stoping electric cars. Great news for us.

--storage. In my opinion we will run out of storage later this year and we will see oil prices drop into the $30s. The optimum point to hedge.

--natural gas went through the same price drop as oil. Wells were cut in half, yet the wells left operating produce more now than when all the wells were all operating.

Take it with a grain of salt, but on airlinedorks.net they are saying ATL-DXB on the chopping block.

Wind and solar are peripheral energy producers at best. The wind doesn't always blow and the sun doesn't always shine. If you wan't electric cars it's going to take a thousand nuclear plants to generate the electricity.
