So, he flies three of the first four legs? That's bizarre.

I'm not a big fan of every other leg either. The captain usually takes the first leg so he gets an extra leg if there is one. That's not a big deal but it usually means all my landings are in DTW and ATL which gets a little boring.

In my opinion, the only proper way to divide legs is 1-2-2-etc. modified so the guy with the tightest connection to his commute gets the last leg (to control his own destiny). If there is an extra leg it should be settled by one round of paper, rock, scissors. I usually gave the FO the option of flying the first leg but an argument could be made for the captain flying the first leg to set the tone.

I never thought about the extra leg doing 1-2-2 etc. It was so the FO didn't always have to land in DTW. I will admit that I would always try and fly the DCA leg hoping for a south arrival.

The FO that brags that he just bought a 2+ million dollar house and is doing a 400k renovation... but still expects the Skipper to buy the beer... (yes that happened to me recently). :D

OR you could go buy a 1/4 share of a Cub and go out and fly whenever and wherever you want. When you are flying into a canyon strip on the way to a fishing/camping trip, you could give a rat's a.. who flies into DTW or how many legs the other guy gets. :D

Yes. He flew 3 of the first 4. I figured he would split the last turn since he split the first turn. I was wrong. There's also the guy that decideds to go by 2's from the beginning when there's 10 legs for the trip. Guy ends up flying 6 of 10. Then there's the guy with the out and back greenslip with 2 different first officers who flies both legs. I know this because the other first officer is a friend of mine. These things have each happened to me in the past year all on the -88. It's not a huge deal as we get plenty of legs, but is it really that hard to split the legs 50/50? I believe the captain should get the extra leg if it's an odd number, but to steal a first officer's leg when there's an even number of legs is disrespectful if you ask me. It's a petty high school move. FWIW, I would never say anything in the cockpit about this. I just couldn't resist adding my 2 cents about "that guy."

Anyone finding no trips in Open Time on I-Crew? All bases and planes.

NERD 03-25-2015 06:15 AM

I checked earlier and had to change the end date. Mine showed today only for both start and end.

Public Service Announcement

For those who haven't gone through the upgrade yet and use Quicken, as part of the process you have to change your user name and password [don't ask me]. DO NOT change your user name and password in Quicken. The system Quicken uses to access your accounts and Online Banking are separate. The upgrade is not simultaneous. I'm not sure if this is actually classified since THE $#*&ING CREDIT UNION DOESN'T BOTHER TO TELL ANYONE

I've spent far too much time un$#*&ing things since this upgrade. The last time I called, the rep couldn't even find my accounts until going for help . I'm done. I just opened accounts with a hometown credit union.

I use the local credit union mainly for keeping my league's fantasy football funds separate from my checking/brokerage/IRAs/529 accounts with Schwab. Schwab provides me with free checks, refunds on ATM fees, and great service....easy online ability to move funds between the credit union account if I need it. They get a hearty recommendation from me.

Now that's funny! How did he give that signal?
