But that said this is why I find airliners.net intriguing place on all sorts of things. The quality of their posters is like this:

Stupid guy
Stupid guy
Really stupid guy
Ignorant guy
Idiot guy
New guy
Insider spilling too much stuff guy
Idiot guy
Idiot guy
Boeing guy
Stupid guy
Ignorant guy
Insider information spilling guy
Stupid guy
I actually took a picture of it happening guy
Airbus guy
Ignorant guy
Actual first hand knowledge who could get fired for what he just said guy
Stupid guy
Dumb guy
Student pilot all knowing guy
Stupid guy

And so on. You can learn a lot there. Sometimes every 3rd or 4th post and sometimes every 100th post. But there is definitely some interesting stuff at times there. We learned in indoc that they had a guy from network posting insider network stuff there and that went all the way to RA. It was a big deal. That told me right there I need to visit that site more. :D

But with a crash. I don't visit that site. Just too many people posting.

hahaha! So true. I actually signed up for that site when I was in college in an effort to network with airline pilots and learn more. That was back before you had to pay to get on the site, so I've been grandfathered in as a "free account." Otherwise there would be noooo way that I would pay for what you so accurately described. :)

There's one kid on there that has this absolute hard on for the 767-400. Every once in a while I'll see him post something, and I'll go "trololol" and post that I heard we were looking to trade in our 767-400s for more A330s or something similar. Count to 10 and watch him lose his shiite!

I would so enjoy trolling some of them. Given the depth of knowledge (as in very deep with some) there it's amazing what some other people will post anyways. "Yeah, at Delta, they only use one pilot on the 717. Saw it myself. There was only one pilot in the cockpit. I about walked up there and told them to get a second pilot or I wasn't going. It's not safe what Delta does with that plane."

Actually. There was someone on there bragging about how they unloaded on the passenger beside them because their cellphone was on during takeoff. "I TOLD THEM YOU'RE GOING TO GET US KILLED AND I KEPT YELLING UNTIL THEY PUT IT AWAY. I won that one. Saved the day."
