Is it too late to have the NC put language in our openers that would give half a pilots' rotation guarentee to the pilot that has to put the company headset he left out away for him?

When you're a jumpseater you are part of the the crew. I'm not giving up my positive space seat in back to ride in cockpit & be part of the crew. Non-revs that don't get on can take the next flight. If I were non-revving I would never expect a crew member to sit in jumpseat so I or one of my family members could get on.
I will say I've helped, and been helped, in this situation multiple times. If I can pay it forward and help out a fellow commuter or employee's family member then I will absolutely do so. IMO it's just the right thing to do. Getting around is hard enough lately as it is. If we can help one another out, then why not? |

Something about SWA getting a 24% bump... So probably slightly more than 4833. No further details
Anyone else hearing this? As far as I know however SW is making little progress and getting little to no help from the NMB. I am sure however that had we driven contract 2012 to the NMB it would have been done a long time ago! |
Sorry for the bad link. Let's try this again:

Considering there contract was amendable before us 24% does not sound like a home run. With compounding 28 months into the contract we are at 20.5% with the 1% DC bump.

We're airline pilots. They're free. We like free. Leave them connected. |
Just so we're all clear. When the company decides to do away with providing cabin seats for DH, and wants us to use the jumpseat for it, using the excuse, "Well, you guys routinely give up a contractual benefit to sit in the jumpseat anyway, let's just remove it from the contract." That's not a concession, is it?
I mean, we routinely vilified guys for greenslipping with fourloughees still out, even though it was allowed by the contract, but we turn a blind eye to contract violations by pilots? What next? Suppose guys started picking and choosing which sections of the contract to follow or not. Xray said the contract protects us from management. It also protects us from ourselves. Y'all choose to do what you want. I will continue to refuse the agent's requests to sit on a jumpseat when I DH. And please don't come asking me to do it. You are asking me to violate the contract and I refuse to do so. |
I think Duke just took it with 2 minutes left.

Why do people keep putting the company headsets away? Especially on the 717, they're the nice ones. About 40% of the time I have to go look for it.
