Duder is correct
Duder,
I thought the exact same thing! I'm not anti-DALPA, but I cringe when I hear or read this statement ("be willing to say yes to a TA"), without the follow on " . . . and don't be afraid to say "NO" if the deal is not acceptable". I definitely feel as if we are experiencing Phase 1 of expectation management, but will keep an open mind until I see the TA. - Q |

Hurry The only words missing are "fleeting opportunity," but they might be around the corner. |

Anybody else read the Daily Fastread from the MEC that was sent out today? I seriously thought it was a joke as I read. They talk about 2 experts that briefed the MEC earlier and specifically said:
7. Develop the ability to say yes: · A tentative agreement is not proof that a better offer is available. Ahhhh....I don't think there has ever been that problem here. Please call your reps and tell them otherwise. Develop the ability to say NO! A TA also doesn't mean that it's the best offer either! I want to believe in our reps but this just makes me want to bash my head against the wall. Rant over:mad: |
Anyone want to bet against the company/dalpa using those 777s as fodder to push C15? No?

I feel like the company dropped some concessions on the table (probably in relation to sick leave) and our negotiators have decided to accept them. Whatever it is, I don't feel good about it. Sounds like we should learn to say "no."

DALPA would NEVER fall for that. Ever!
I thought however according to the forum it was going to be the A350/787 buy they held over our heads! |

The last time they considered fleet restructuring in the contract it turned out so poorly for us. Nothing they said came true!

I thought however according to the forum it was going to be the A350/787 buy they held over our heads! I know you've embraced the new normal and don't long for 3B6. We've conceded so much, I'm actually surprised we have any leverage at all. |
