Duder is correct

Duder,

I thought the exact same thing! I'm not anti-DALPA, but I cringe when I hear or read this statement ("be willing to say yes to a TA"), without the follow on " . . . and don't be afraid to say "NO" if the deal is not acceptable".

I definitely feel as if we are experiencing Phase 1 of expectation management, but will keep an open mind until I see the TA.

Agreed. Also, remember they led off the process by saying we are not in a rush - we are willing to wait for the right deal. Now look at items 1-3 of the communique:

1. Hurry

2. Hurry

3. Hurry

The only words missing are "fleeting opportunity," but they might be around the corner.

· A tentative agreement is not proof that a better offer is available.

Ahhhh....I don't think there has ever been that problem here. Please call your reps and tell them otherwise. Develop the ability to say NO! A TA also doesn't mean that it's the best offer either! I want to believe in our reps but this just makes me want to bash my head against the wall.

Rant over:mad:

Has there ever been a time when there wasn't a "yes"?

Anyone want to bet against the company/dalpa using those 777s as fodder to push C15? No?

Ssdd.

DALPA would NEVER fall for that. Ever!

I feel like the company dropped some concessions on the table (probably in relation to sick leave) and our negotiators have decided to accept them. Whatever it is, I don't feel good about it. Sounds like we should learn to say "no."

The last time they considered fleet restructuring in the contract it turned out so poorly for us. Nothing they said came true!

I thought however according to the forum it was going to be the A350/787 buy they held over our heads!

Be better to fall for an A350/787 deal than a 717/RJ deal.....wait.....

Sailing,

I know you've embraced the new normal and don't long for 3B6. We've conceded so much, I'm actually surprised we have any leverage at all.
