I've known a few doctors, they didn't make hardly any money in the beginning, now they're rolling. so it's an apples to oranges comparison to compare mainline delta to GP pay that includes residency pay.
Most of my pro pilot friends had their ATP by mid 20's, it is a somewhat shorter career track to left seat. I think the biggest factors are the responsibility involved (a 100 million dollar jet is more expensive than some companies, so you should be paid for the responsibility and expertise). |
