Cant get EasyBid to import my bids from PBS... just get a blank webpage in the bottom of the import thing. Used to work... no changes to computer for a year or so... any ideas?

I'm pretty new to EasyBid, but I spoke with them today and they said that function no longer works on the program. Which...was kind of the whole point of the thing I thought?

So I guess you have to do the bids in EasyBid first and then export them to PBS?

Like I said, I'm pretty new to it, so I'm guessing that's the answer.

Pretty sure you can submit your bid straight from EZBid.

I haven't used easybid in years... really don't see any reason to... just use the pbs internet interface... don't even use the desktop.

Having said that, I use easyswap ALL the time... you can literally put in 200 "named" blind swaps in 5mins!... it is da bomb!

Second, I use trip alerts ALL the time... real time instant notice when a trip hits the pot... it is da bomb diggity!

Yes, program is very long in the tooth, but works extremely well for my needs... all for $10/mo... As a 60%er in category, I make tens of thousands extra each year because of it... ymmv.

Ok, can you tell me a little more about trip alerts? I haven't heard of that little option.

Asterisk Rotation changes

To which office in DALPA should I send a question about a change the company made to an asterisk rotation, PBS or Rotation Construction?

It's a trip at the end of November. The change hit yesterday or today, obviously after 1800E on the 4th.

Not a huge deal, just curious.

Yes, that's the website. It also prints out the neat little trip forms with your flight number and frequencies and such on them. Or, you an just use a pad of paper "borrowed" from the hotel room or a piece of ACARS paper to write on.
Used to use EasyBid, but every time they come out with an update to Navtech, it doesn't work with EasyBid right away. Finally gave up and just use Navtech now. As for taxes, check out Expert Per Diem Calculation Service Pilots Flight Attendants. Works well with icrew.

Can I just submit my payment in January and they can send me the entire preceding year's per diem tax information?

Definitely find out. 800-USA-ALPA, ask for scheduling.

Edit: What PD said!

Call D-ALPA at 1-800-872-2572. Ask to speak with someone in scheduling.

Asterisk rotations...blech

PD and Elliot, thanks. I made the call.

I was mis-interpreting an entry in the table under 23.B.1 (Current Month Events Affecting Subsequent Bid Period Scheduling). The note says "Asterisk rotation changes posted" must happen "Before 1800E on the 4th." I thought that meant any change to an asterisk rotation had to be made prior to 1800E/04. Actually, any changes affecting the next month's bid period scheduling must be made prior to 1800E/04. Duh. Just like the title says.

They can change anything they like in the current month's part of the rotation any time they like, as long as it doesn't affect next month's schedule.

EDIT: I guess they can do that to a regular rotation too as long as they don't violate 23.L. Reroute.
