No doubt company wants to fix that. He said that equates to some crazy number like 90 million. Flew with a ALPA guy and he said same thing. Easy to connect those dots. Hope we don't give in.

I have to assume that the company isn't going to try to take away sick leave. So, what change would they make to try to put it in their favor?

If I'm sick, I'm not flying. What change would they make?

The 30% number is utter BS. There is a minority that's under 10% that takes the majority of the sick leave used. It is however base dependant but one of those bases is NYC not a North base. The NWA sick leave conversion was explained many times on the old forum. It was not stolen.

If they want major givebacks in QOL for a few more coins, personally I would rather keep the current contract with profit sharing. I can live with our current pay(even if profit sharing is less or none), I don't want to work anymore days than I do now.

Timbo, come on is that the best you can do. Do you honestly believe that parking some of the very oldest 747-400's flying is contract related? Are all the other airlines parking newer 747's also out to lunch? They were always planned to be parked by the end of 17. Now it's the start of 17. Post merger the plan was to park them sooner. They actually were extended.
Keep in mind the JV partners are also accelerating parking their 747's.

Check out the 'leaked' info on the chit chat forum. The company wants an 'outside party' to verify all sick leave over 100hrs.

Not YOUR doctor, but someone else.

Will they pat us on the back and put an article in sky magazine telling everyone how important we are?

I've never been to the chit chat forum. I googled and nothing comes up.

If they can get us to pay for our next raises, like we did in C12K, by making negative changes to our profit sharing, they will also make those changes company wide, i.e. all the Non-Contract people will lose out as well.

And then, in 2016, Delta earns $10 Billion.

And we're sucking wind, again.

Yeah, that's why the Company wants Speed.

No question that's why the company wants speed. But our "union" desperately wants it too. When Donatelli puts out talking points like this, it's as close to truthful and direct communication as he ever gets. He's trying to shape opinion on the importance of speed and saying yes...despite the fact that neither of those items ranked in the pilot surveys. Why would our "union" behave this way? The answer is because there's no difference between them. If the company has a priority, it becomes our "union's" priority. The only thing that remains is to shape opinion in an attempt to make it look like the pilot's will was considered.

It's a private, Delta pilot only forum, you will need to register with your seniority number and your real name. There is some excellent info being posted there r.e. the Special MEC meeting yesterday.

This will always be a sore point for a lot of North guy's. I guess the 1600+ hours I had accumulated went the way that my unused data on my phone plan goes away each month. And please don't tell me I flew sick to get those hours. I didn't.
