They didn't do a huge leapfrog relative to us, but they did relative to themselves and that's huge. The baseline is way higher now than it was in 2012. Just getting the insane USAir rates up to AA's current rates was a massive step forward. Its a good time to get improvements, and no time for concessions of ANY KIND!

I read where UAL just converted 10 firm 787's to 10 777-300ER's, for delivery in 2016. I thought the reason we didn't get 777's was due to Boeing's inability to deliver them? I guess that wasn't the reason!

We didnt' get the 787 because of the inablity to deliver in the time we needed. Boeing actually offered more 777s as a "stopgap" until we could get 787s.

Did anyone else get a visual approach pop up on iCrew, or did I screw one up? :)

I got it, too. That used to be a big issue going into DTW a while back. Maybe, it's coming up again.

Stay above the floor. :D

You mean the secret class B they don't give us charts for?

Dumbest reg on the books.

Thanks newK. :) My heart skipped a beat thinking I may have jacked one up unknowingly in the last week, haha.

As far as class B, nothing made my eyes roll more than the dummies at my regional that said it was on you to know when you were leaving the class B. They'd go on these long diatribes on how to figure out when you were leaving it. Derp.

JFK controllers used to be notoriously bad about that too, especially on long vectors for the 22's. The area above Republic field is 4000' and they'd descend you all the time below 4 knowing full well everyone was going 250. Every once in a great, rare while someone would slow to 200 (and not descend until they did) and they would freak out and then they'd stop doing it…for a few days.

The 1500' part didn't seem like it was about the B floor though. The night visual criteria is pretty strict however, and conflicts mightily with the desired "break" maneuver. Strictly interpreted, there's really no reason to ever call the field at night anymore.

That FOQA's a beeoch!

And remember, just because you are paranoid doesn't mean they aren't watching you!

Yes, everyone got it.

Schoo! Thought FOQA nailed me for something I did.
