You understand that there are very limited protections in our current PWA and that the change to 1.E. in the rejected TA was an improvement, right? Section 1 of the rejected TA was a total surrender by ALPA. The change from EASKs to block hours in order to "legalize" management's blatant violation of the already weak production balance was another example of ALPA giving away our jobs for nothing in return. Then add to that our "settlement" of the production balance grievance. We took pennies on the dollar and excused their non-compliance into the future. That was outright union malpractice. A disgusting display of our union being a wholly owned subsidiary of management. You Moakists must never again be allowed anywhere near our scope clause. |
Rookie question--deviating from deadhead. Rotation starts with a deadhead tomorrow morning for no reason. I'd rather go later in day. I booked a jumpseat....is there a way I can move my positive space seat to a later flight? Is my only option to js in later?
Thanks |

Also if you are new and don't have it, download Scheduling Reference Handbook to your phone. It's all in there.

Anyone know of where to get a charger for the surface tablet? I left mine in Mex City. I stopped by staples..special order, ...online searched Best Buy, no luck as there seems to 40 million hits but they all seem to be for a Surface 3....this tablet seems to be obsolete. Got a trip tomm and don't have time to order one. Thought I might find a universal one maybe somewhere...
Any suggestions? Also can we plug in a USB cable to the port and charge it that way? Thanks.. The Non Tech Guy. |

If your are by a CPO, Call the Help Desk (888-714-0529). Those metal boxes that are usually around/ outside of the CPO have chargers, tablets and keyboards. The help desk can tell you the code to open the box and then take what you need. Remember to fill out the sheet that is in the box too.

Thanks EDIT: I have read the handbook but it leaves quite a bit to be desired. It says once I hit the guarantee I won't be on call anymore. But what if I'm in the middle of a trip, do I have to finish it? Could scheduling give me a 5 day 30 hour trip if I was 1 minute below reserve guarantee? The handbook spoke about GS pay but I couldn't decipher it. Assuming I fill up, am I paid for a GS the same way a line holder would be paid a GS? |
