Hey it's funny because it's true! I really do try to set a relaxed tone. Hopefully the FOs would state the same.

It doesn't matter what comes out of your mouth during your little spiel, we can tell right away what type of captain you are.

I got tagged for a reserve callout today and have a golden day tomorrow. Just looking at the terrible WX and fairly tight schedule, it looks like there is a decent chance the trip might end up being late and leak into my golden day. If I assume we touch down at 0001 or later tomorrow, is there any kind of additional compensation or PB day coming my way if my golden day is violated?

Thanks

Capt Gucci retired, he was one of the notorious former Northeast pilots. Each and everyone of those guys had something going on. I asked him where he was going to dinner, he told me I didn't dress well enough to hang with him. Face lift and all.

"There won't be any money but on your deathbed you will receive total consciousness, so you have that going for you, which is nice."

Not sure, but maybe a hearty "Job well done," followed by 9 or 10 hours duty free with a payback day at the end of your duty free? I would call Scheduling to have them spell it out for you.

Meanwhile here is a video which explains it a little better. :D

Yeah, I saw that video linked from the PBS help site. I wonder how much we had to trade in C69' for that bennie.

In case you missed the Giants/Saints game, it was spectacular, with both QBs throwing TD passes like doubloons from a Mardi Gras float. New Orleans won 52-49 with a long FG. :)

The dozen that were announced about a month after the NBA bunch, that is.

Springtime?

Just watched the base visit video on Deltanet. The 757 fleet count for next summer is 104 or 105. That's up from this summers projection of 70ish.

Nope. 24hr layover anywhere counted. If you are right, then you would always have to be back home in base within 7 days or you couldn't work. We had plenty of trips overseas that were more that 7 days long. Way more.
