And thank God we shot down the TA. It raised the TLV by an hour.
That little gem didn't generate a lot of controversy among all the other stuff but it was a pretty big productivity concession. |

I do believe that we have waived the TLV restriction in the past to help out the company. Matter of fact I can't remember a time where we haven't come forward and helped out the company when needed. That is why I was more than a little put off when they acted the way they did during TA15.

Offday grouping requirements still apply. I just tried dropping the third day of a four day block and the PCS text was "violates offday grouping requirements"

That is likely true. That is also why 93% of the trips on the 717 (in ATL at least) are 4 and 5 days. In fact there are more 5-day trips than 1, 2, and 3 day trips combined!
When network adds a bunch of unanticipated flying all at once (a good thing, but better to get a little advance notice) the trip construction software ends up building a lot of these longer trips. I was a bit peeved about that and emailed both my reps and the Rotation Construction Committee and they gave me the same answer. Thank God for the TLV (Target Line Value). The ALVs are going to have to come down soon due to the TLV. Really wacky things might be seen in terms of trip construction when that happens...or not. Funny thing is that you can never predict the eventual fallout. For example I was camping over Colombus Day weekend. I came back to 6 IA "robo calls." This month I bid reserve as well and am just finishing a three day block of reserve days where many of us--myself included--not only didn't fly, but didn't even sit short call. Next month could be either extreme. |

We gave productivity concessions in the POS failed TA? I must have dozed off during that part of the dALPA roadshow.
Just going from memory I can think of two productivity changes with the failed TA - feel free to add if I am omitting anything. 1. Increasing the TALV by 1 hr. 2. Pulling 75% of potential IOE trips from the bid package prior to FO bidding. I would say these both fall into the category of productivity. Scoop |
Ok, here's one for Miss Chloe. Once we get the 321, do you think that category will start getting red eyes?

Guys,
My favorite time of the month, were Delta changes your beautiful carry over trip from a four day into an awful five day trip. This practice is so wrong. I now fly two four day trips back to back, one day off followed by my newly build five day trip. Priceless |
I heard transcons out of the ATL.
