Thanks.

Anyone...?

My Special Requal line generated a 7 day shadow bid post SRQ. I was awarded a 4 day 21:00 hour trip that briefly showed on my line, then disappeared (and is still overlapped in iCrew with "MMC" for the days of my shadow bid). I am assuming I will be assigned some type of 1,2, or 3 day LCA trip during this period and I will be paid the higher of the LCA trip or the trip awarded during my shadow bid?

The shadow bid trip was subsequently awarded to a person junior to me (so clearly PBS made sure it would be covered). I was thinking of calling the crew planner to see what they have planned for me, but my guess is they will wait until I am finished with my SRQ (which finished up on a saturday) to assign me a rotation with a LCA? Not really sure what to expect, flying, or pay wise...

Yep.. you'll get paid the higher value of your LCA trip or what you were awarded in the shadow. The reason why your shadow trip went junior to you is just that... it was a shadow and a virtual award for credit purposes.

72 Hours to drop via moving an X day and 0700 PCS the day prior to straight drop a reserve day.

See below from the scheduling reference handbook.

Scoop

X Day Move Rules
X days may be moved, at pilot request, via PCS under “leave requests,” provided:
• the X day(s) to be moved are:
o an entire X-day block,
o the first or last day of an X-day block, or
o a series of contiguous X days that includes the first or last day of an X-day block, and
• reserve availability in the category is sufficient, and
• movement of the X day(s) does not cause an FAR violation, and
• X day(s) are not moved into or out of a scheduled vacation, and
• X day(s) are not moved into or out of the last six days of the current bid period during the PBS bid award process for the subsequent bid period, and
the X day(s) to be moved begin at least 72 hours after the award date of the move, and
• X day(s) are moved to be contiguous with:
o another X-day block,
o a training day,
o a vacation day,
o a PD/APD day, or
o a day of legal duty.

Boom! Thanks for the quick reply Clamp....

I did some digging in the PWA and it appears for my SRQ it's "desired" to be a 5 day OE period per the table. It looks like I am blocked off as "MMC" for 6 days, so we'll see what I get...There is a trip I am interested in WSing that is towards the tail end, but I am assuming it will be denied by PCS due to those days being "protected" for OE.

I also had someone who should know, tell me something very different. I won't repeat it here since there's no way to verify the authenticity of the source but it looked absolutely nothing like what you just relayed. Either way still a good deal, thank you SWA!

You won't be able to WS/GS/SWP/PSB anything (not just those days) until you've completed training.

You can drop (subject to all the normal rules), you just can't add anything to your schedule. Anything on your schedule (via PBS award) will be automatically dropped if you haven't completed training in time (whether or not within the Shadow period).

I normally don't bid a reserve line but I bid reserve for Feb. I put my request in for known mil leave per the FOM & now I'm unable to move X days over the mloa days because it's a known absence. Any idea when this changed?
