Or taking 20 E190 beaters that Air Canada didn't want to pressure Bombardier to make a deal.

Maybe a way to get the best deal on some E195's if you publicly make them think your shopping at the competitors store?

Bohicagain, freezing and full of luv.

Awesome info. I was thinking about trying to swap with someone willing to take my wife and kids to Paris, but it sounds good enough, I'll probably do it myself. ;)

Thank you.

(full of luv - really appreciate the advice)

Or you plan to take on E175/170s and the 190s are just an add on to that fleet and the C-Series is to eat into the 717s you just bou...

I surrender.

Weren't the 717s a 7 year lease with the option to buy? I kind of thought that that whole deal was RA playing chess again with Embraer and Bombardier to say "don't need your stinking overpriced RJs at those prices". Now, make me a deal I can't refuse and I'll buy 300+ and replace all my 717s, M88s and 319s and upgauge some 76 seat flying with various versions of yours.

Had someone in the know on the jumpseat a few weeks ago...he said after the 7-year lease (of which SWA is paying half of each payment), the 717s belong to DAL. He made it sound like when the lease was up, that was the end of payments and DAL just owns them outright.

I thought they would be out this afternoon but DLNet looked like it was experiencing some technical issues. Hopefully tomorrow.

So with the profit posted does the 21% estimate still hold true? Yes I'm a lazy pilot and don't want to do math :D

For anyone smart on shadow bid stuff....

My Special Requal line generated a 7 day shadow bid post SRQ. I was awarded a 4 day 21:00 hour trip that briefly showed on my line, then disappeared (and is still overlapped in iCrew with "MMC" for the days of my shadow bid). I am assuming I will be assigned some type of 1,2, or 3 day LCA trip during this period and I will be paid the higher of the LCA trip or the trip awarded during my shadow bid?

The shadow bid trip was subsequently awarded to a person junior to me (so clearly PBS made sure it would be covered). I was thinking of calling the crew planner to see what they have planned for me, but my guess is they will wait until I am finished with my SRQ (which finished up on a saturday) to assign me a rotation with a LCA? Not really sure what to expect, flying, or pay wise...
