If you are prior military, you can get 50% off tickets on the circle line boats that tour around Manhattan on the Hudson and East rivers which is a nice way to spend an hour or so depending on the weather (you go right by ellis island, Statue of Liberty, and Staten Island. You also cross under all the famous bridges between Brooklyn and Manhattan. The starting point of the tours is just down the street from Times Square.

Also, we did the day and evening tour on the hop on/hop off bus and it was really worth it, they have a great route at night that goes through Brooklyn on the waterfront looking back at manhattan. Near times square they will be selling the tickets with street vendors, everything is negotiable as far as price. For the posted price of two adults, we got all three kids on free and they threw in the night tour as well.

Also if the weather is bad they have a natural history museum that rivals the smithsonian, and free to military vets. You could spend a whole day in there and not see the entire collections, but may not be a 22yr old's cup of tea.

Last obvious things to do with a 22yr old may be Empire state bldg, go see a show on Broadway, etc. Also, you can ride transit pretty easily from LGA to manhattan, at JFK, there is a flat rate $52 to anywhere in Manhattan cab fare which is a great deal if you have a couple of people and bags!

Have a great trip!
Jersey Boys is a great show and she'll probably know some of the music. You certainly will.

Need some quick help. Can't find the post with the person who can handle insurance problems. OptumRX has decided to no longer cover the blood glucose strips for my type 1 diabetic son's insulin pump. They want me to buy a different pump @$7,200 out of pocket because it uses cheaper strips.

Google Secret Bars of NYC. There are several speakeasy's in NYC. The Campbell Apartment in Grand Central Station is amazing. Personally I like the oyster bar downstairs of GCS. Getting tickets (ahead of time) to a Comedy Club is pretty good but beware..some can be pretty profane/vulgar. If the weather is good, a boat ride around the island is great. Of course springing for Hamiliton will be a home run. The Iroquois is a great boutique hotel. Pricey but your daughter will always remember it.

Has anyone here ever rented a boat in FLL for the day? There is a place about 1/2 mile from hotel near the beach called splash water sports.

Jet Ski Rental Fort Lauderdale | Boats Rentals | Parasailing FLL

I've got 24 hrs down there coming up and this seems like a cool way to use some of it up.
