The Dalpa website lists it under the JS committee section. Listing on them as early as possible got me home from NYC one night instead of having to buy a hotel room.
I was doing an OBGS last summer and got the late LHR arrival. My only shot at getting home was a Spirit flight out of LGA at 10:00pm. I listed for it on my way to work. Three nights later I walk up to the gate and there are 2 JB pilots waiting to js on the flight too. I checked in but the flight was completely full so I thought I was 3rd in line for the JS. When she called my name first I was shocked. She said I had listed first so the JS was mine. Unfortunately for the other guys, the AC only had 1 JS. Listing on Spirit early is very beneficial. I don't know how many days out they accept OAL airline listings but it saved me $100 plus that night. Worked! Thanks, fellas! |

First and foremost, they supposedly build trips to keep credit time to a minimum, according to them. A quick glance at most categories trips though, I see a ton of deadheading. Also, they build un commutable 5 day trips no one wants and then have to break them up sometimes when they assign a reserve and have to deadhead a pilot out and in mid trip which increases credit time. I'm not smart enough to figure it out.
Five days, six hours in the cockpit. |

Ok, I need some serious PBS reserve bidding advice. I'm on a regular line for April thru May 1. I need May 5,6,7,8 off. Obviously I'm trying to bid a regular line with them off and if I get it, all is good. But for a backup, I'm bidding a reserve line.
In my category, the min days on call is 4 days. Here is the question. Can I bid days off starting on May 5th or do I need to start them on May 2nd because there are only three days at the beginning of the month if I try to start them on the 5th? Thanks for any help! Denny You have to give them the four days. You will have to bid starting on the 2nd through the period you need off. Sorry. |

In an April bid package, I saw a 5-day trip worth ~29 hours that had 6 hours of block time.

Denny There is an excellent explanation of PBS reserve bidding in the PBS Gouge. Sent from my SM-G900T using Tapatalk |
Does anybody know the answer to this convoluted Payback/Whiteslip question?
I recently used a PayBack day to drop a one day trip, then White Slipped it back (now the trip is on my line twice for essentially double pay) Now, I have more payback days available. Can I repeat the process-- drop the same trip with another PB day and then WS it yet again? Thanks, BV |

Thanks, BV I'm not sure if you could press to test (I was just happy to not have to fly the trip so I didn't push too hard) and successfully do it a third time. I do know that they had a really hard time even understanding what I was up to, and doing it a 3rd time required manual intervention from scheduling. |
