Some trips got canceled/moved to another base (I got the call for the IA, but the trips are gone now). Yet in the last class drop, ALL 14 717s went to ATL. I know ATL has issues as well, but the last AE has 10 guys/gals moving from NYC to ATL. It's a good thing there are only 3 certified sims for the 717 in the entire US!

Not to mention a bunch of people in the past two AEs outright leaving the 717 for bigger stuff.

BTW what a game tonight, the good news is that UNC still has hotter cheerleaders ;)

Speaking of cheerleaders, the NCAA national cheerleading competition is starting today in DAB right next to our layover hotel.

That is all I have to say about that.

AhhhHaahhh...

That explains all the cheerleader teams I saw arriving this morning in MCO. They looked like high school aged kids though, but it may just be my old man eyes!

GS on reserve question, friends:
X day on the 8th, RSV on the 9th
2 day Out of base GS 8-9th.

Can someone please help me understand how I will be paid for this? I already have my Payback day on the 10th.

Thanks!

You will get the block for day 1 (8th) above reserve guarantee and any credit and block will be paid towards guarantee on the 9th. If there is a lot of trip credit it's not that good of deal.

I had my choice in indoc btw the two and I picked the 737 since historically it was getting there faster and there was more movement. Also with the caveat of if I couldnt get to SLC right away I could get somewhere west while I waited. On the last AE I got to move west, but had I picked the 320 I'd already be in SLC. So I guess ultimately the old saying "bid what you want and want what you bid" holds true. Either will get there in under a year so I don't think there is really a wrong answer.

There are a lot of SLC commuters to LAX and that might get you closer to where you want to be.

A lot of effort and work for not much extra pay. But I'm sure mgmt appreciated it.
