That's the snark i come here for.

Not a word from the company on any of that. Just talk from pilots on forums.

There is actually.. Ed specifically said last week that we are looking into the 787.

Would if you had a widebody fleet with only two aircraft types? 787-900/1000 replacing the 767er, 767-400,777 and A350. A330’s also replacing 7er’s and growth. Imagine the cost savings in DH pay alone!
Maybe we are in for a surprise soon!

No no. More aircraft types means we have the perfect aircraft for the specific city pair, time, and day. We wouldn’t want to mess with that special sauce.

He probably said something like “we continuously evaluate all options, including the 787.”

But what’s the source?

The source is from Ed’s skyhub Q&A last week for Flight Standards folks. The clip shown to me had Ed specifically saying more than once we are interested in the 787, and that we need a Boeing order to keep Boeing in the game here. The 350 is performing great as well he mentioned. Things we need to address with the fleet, but we are happy with it.
