It has nothing to do with the ALV, it's credit hours above 80. GS is pay no credit, so you cannot bank GS hours.

Thanks Gucci & Mike.

Someone asked a GS question:

Lineholder
Credit at 70 for the month
GS trigger at 75
Let's say he flies a 10 hour GS trip
=========
What is his pay? 80 +5 GS?

ps. no bank hours available.

Forgive my ignorance, dgs guy here.
Thanks

The first five hours is applied as pay and credit to bring him to 75. The second five hours is double pay no credit so 10 hours pay. Total pay 85 hours. He could and should however go 5 hours negative bank. Pay would then be 75 hours pay and credit plus 10 hours doubled as pay only for a total of 95 hours.

Look at PWA 12.0. The maximum deposit is 20 hours in a month.

Tip--If you want to put all available time over 80 into the bank, you can just ask to put in 20 hours (the max) and the system will put in whatever it can at the end of the month.

Reserve help. Specifically bidding golden days. Seems pretty idiot proof, in which case I'm a genius as I never seem to do it right. No matter what I request I generally end up with my first six x days becoming golden days. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong, or who to ask (far as I can tell I'm following the sched ref handbook). I'm fairly senior on reserve, if that isn't too much of a oxymoron, so expect to get more or less what I ask for.

Help?

I don't do reserve much, but when I do, I always bid to make the first two days of each block of off-days golden. That is to attempt to prevent getting any trip that goes into my off days, and to make sure I'm released from short call at noon on my last on-call day.

First, just to make sure, you put you golden day bid in icrew>bids>initial bid. Icrew lists your X days there. I always try and start every X day group with at least one golden day. For May I've got X days 2-8, 14-17, and 26-29. On the template I bid 2 May, 3 May, 14 May, 15 May, 26 May, and 27 May. (I received all the days as bid) Bid your highest priority first and, again, always try to start an X day grouping with golden days.

If that's what you are doing. Nothing else I see you can do.
