Per 22.E.6.a, the 16th of the month is the magical measuring date which determines conversion. Finish training on or before the 16th and you are converted at the beginning of the bid period. After the 16th, you are converted at the beginning of the next bid period.

Not really. You are correct that the new pay rate starts on the date of your conversion but he is also right in that it is the completion of training (sims, not OE) which determines when that conversion date is established.

Anybody here ever get a GSWC from a carry out trip in a reserve month (on my off days) into a month with a regular line? I couldn't find anything contractually prohibiting the practice but I called ALPA for their take. I spoke with C. and he didn't think this was possible. I disagree but what ALPA and I think really don't matter, I was hoping somebody had already pressed to test and could provide a definitive "yeah or nay".

I got it on the January bid award. The projected conversion was AUG which I think July was the 6 month point so I'm guessing Aug is the latest conversion. My training timeline shows Aug 11 as my last day of training so I guess the question is mute.

"Reserve pilots on X-day(s) who can be assigned with conflict (in category, in inverse seniority order)"
This step of the assignment ladder is (remarkably) 1 before GSWC.

I suppose you would be right! Funny how you can't volunteer for this (GSWC) but it could be put to you. Or perhaps I was wrong earlier.
Hey, I know what I mean. I'm just not very good at conveying my intentions into the proper vocabulary.
Is there anywhere I can go to see my previous training (sim, specifically) schedule or record? Going back 2 years at the most.

OE buy-off notification question:
My trip has the indications of being pulled for OE. I saw a couple posts about the notification from about a year ago and was wondering if there's been any recent consistency as to when the company officially notifies you?
I know "The removal may occur at any time prior to or after the pilot has reported for the rotation, at the Company’s discretion." (Sched handbook p.67)
Just wondering about others' experience with this.
