You must understand for guys that have lived and worked in ATL most their careers the unknown is very scary. When the only commute you have to base your experience on is ATL-DFW 10 years ago, and all of the MSP guys are telling what a pain the ATL commute is, it makes you reach for you Tums. It is just the unknown that bothers a lot of people.

As for me., I am house hunting in MN, and MI. Deals are OK in MI. I surely though they would be better......

IMHO, MSP 90 and 320 are going to go quite junior. We will see how DTW fares.

Where in MI are you looking?

Suggest anything west of US-23. Dexter and Saline are very nice also. Washtenaw county has the best schools in the state bar none.

I will look at those too! Surprised that with all the doom and gloom in MI that house prices out that way are actually holding quite nicely.

Father in Law: What do you want, a boy or girl
Wife: Girl

FIL: What's wrong flyboy, your not man enough for a little girl?
Me: No, just not man enough to handle a guy doing to my daughter what I did to yours.

OK, I know this is old, but it is still funny. I can only hope I'm this cool:

Well, at least the taxes are high.

My priapism is acting up again. The double breasted jacket fits like Ringling Bros. is setting up in town. Looks like I'll be out on disability for a year or so until I can get this condition under control, or hold Atlanta. Whichever comes first.

Meanwhile, would you like to see something in the lumber department?

They are not really. Probably off 30% + from 2 years ago. Lots of lake property that holds up better than average.

acl65pilot 11-27-2009 09:29 AM

30% is better than most areas.

Not too bad 330K house with taxes in the 4500 range.
