That's why I'm wondering if it's better to not deal with the hassle and call in well after the trip is over. Thanks.

Yes there is. I got a 24 hour bug one time that made me call in sick for a 3 day. Ended up with a 2 day green slip in the footprint of the second 2 days of said trip.

I was a little bit concerned on it getting some attention, however the captain responded to my concern with "screw them, I call in sick every month, because they took my pension." So if we wonder how the company got all uppity about the sick thing, there's that...

But when you call in well.... is it up to you to either resume your trip/pick up something else?

Don't quote me, but I believe once you call off the trip, your off the trip period.

On another note, my DEC. schedule just showed up in ICREW Mobile. I'm ATL 717B

That is correct.

Realistically picking up your trip isn't going to happen. It's gone. If it was cut up into multiple trips and part is floating in OT, you could slip it. But that is it far as I know

Your trip is gone, never to return. If you pick up anything in it's footprint, the credit for those days will pay back your sick bank before going to you. So if you like refilling your sick bank, call in well and put in for ws/gs. There is no benefit to not calling in well as even if you do, the only thing your obligated to do is a junior assignment.

NewK, you are a night owl! I got to HSV and went straight to bed, with a beautiful woman although. NewKnow is a great guy and a pleasure to talk with. Would love to sit over a few beverages and solve the world's problems, or at least debate them!

Last night NBC News ran a story about our new baggage tag roll out. I cannot remember the name of the VP that is the head of this division, but I heard him speak once and he talked about this project. We are spending around $50 million on this, and it will reduce lost baggage to nearly zero. He seems to me to be cut from the same cloth as Mr Anderson. Anyway, here's the story if you are interested.

I applaud the investment. Only problem it's $49 million more than they invested in these surface tablets.

I told you, Satch! If we pass this TA, I'm all over the late night sim sessions. :D

I'll make sure you are on the honored guest list when I open up my beach bar. That will put us one step closer to solving those problems. But, probably two steps further away from anyone ever listening to us -- which is fine by me.

Take care and fly safe! :D
