I'd give him the benefit of the doubt that he knows this since he's on probation and has, most likely, been through the hiring process more recently than you.

Where is the Pacific Room in Terminal 5(LAX)? (i.e. upstairs/crewroom level?)

No, it was "1st to fly on on-call days"

It sounds like you have run into the dreaded "days of availability" conundrum. Sounds like it was a 4 day trip and he was in the 4 day DOA bucket and you were in the 5 day DOA bucket. If so, doesn't matter if you yellow slip or not. They try to match the trip with days of availability first so you guys were not competing for the trip. If you'd of had the same days of availability then you would have gotten the trip. At least that's what it sounds like to me.

I've had that very same question. And ML and DW have been MIA the last week.

Sure, I was hired 8 years ago, but I've been writing LORs for people who want to come to Delta regularly since then. My success rate for LOR -> interview has been about 20% - for qualified guys/gals. Why? I dunno.

I think LORs are great, people wrote them for me to help me get hired and I really appreciate that they did. I'm just trying help everyone along.

I wrote a letter for a guy who worked for me while I was only a couple months in this company. He got an interview and is now on property. Coincidence? Possibly. Bottom line: if you've got the "tier one" application and ANY Delta pilot writes a letter of wreck (having flown with said person is a must...) their app will most likely get a look.
Somebody correct me if I'm wrong here.

Ya, that was it. Reread the PWA and understood it. But, don't remember that in there last time I sat reserve.

A while back there was a post about how to prevent being awarded a carryover trip or how to stay on the low end of the LCW. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks

You can also ask for flying on the last days of the month or request the last day off. If you leave the last day open the computer can and will award a trip on that day attempting to get you to the line threshold even if you are in the construction window.
