That's back when a load factor of 70% was good. I'd like to hear the NWA history lessen on non-revving. I seem to hear a lot about Hawaii and the good olé days.

So....... no rumor here or anything just discussion. I just read that Saudi airlines is retiring 22 777s this year and They are only 15-19 years old. Any chance with the 787 order being cancelled any of these end up here? They are 777e's I guess which I don't know what that means but who knows

Delta can't make money with 777's. No market for them -- unless they're flown by our partners. Then they're awesome.

Well as Goggles says, we don't like the 777 much. Also, those are middle aged to moderately old 777s. It still costs a lot of money to covert a 777 to buy to Delta configuration with seats, galleys, in-flight entertainment, etc.

Cruise Spring Break??
 
Hi All,
Looking at the possibility of taking a cruise this Spring Break. Do any of you veteran cruisers use a specific agent, or just go through Dargal/Perx?

Do they also book excursions separate from the boat? I hear if you book through the boat they get ya!

We have booked 3 cruises through a PERX agent named Cedric (800-239-4618). They can steer you away from cabins in noisy areas, etc. They can also book excursions through the cruise line and the tickets will be delivered to your cabin. This may not be the cheapest, but it prevents being disappointed if there is a sell-out. In addition, if you get stranded on one of their excursions, they will hold the ship or get you to the next port, but not if you bought your own excursion. (Some activities, like walking tours, may be best if done by yourself with a map & guidebook, otherwise you travel at the speed of the slowest tourist in the group.)

I started 727 when the manuals were TBD and the oral was on the short bird {NE FAA.) There were always sims and guys were busting left and right. (First Boeing on the property.):eek:

The '72 was a rough start, the new had cross hair F/D's, the old short ones had FD 108's (Bananas on Howard Johnson's roof.) There was no training on the 108's, just wing it. H.A. and R.A. were problematic, but they weren't goofy. Harry spent his life at "Steep Turn U." If there was going to anything, there would be "C" and "D" sims. (Check Delta's flt. training faux pas.') We managed to nail every piece of equiptment except the DC-7.
