So we don't fly to LHR from any other cities that SEA connects to? Like DTW, MSP, JFK, or ATL?

Or SLC.

Lots of SEA <-> SLC flights

Maybe it's changed lately, but those flights were almost impossible to get on as a nonrev a few years ago when I was commuting to SEA.

Reroute Pay

Where specifically can you find out how reroute pay works?

I know the call dalpa scheduling but it seems like magic to me and I would like to try to peek behind the curtain.

Sorry for the tangent, but I figured it's better than a new thread for a quick question.

I'm a salaried corporate guy bewildered by the pay system of the airlines. What would a new hire Delta first officer expect as a first year income? how about second year?

This doesn't need to be precise, just interested in ballpark.

Thanks!

Between pay and 401k company contributions, it wouldn't be hard to earn 100k first year and 150k in the second. YMMV.

http://www.taprocon.com/#/pay

Those are our current pay tables. Hourly rate x 1,000 is a safe WAG of annual earnings. Add 10% to 15% to that for profit sharing (paid out every year on Valentines Day), and then another 16% on top of that total (company 401k contributions, independent of one's own contributions).

Hey airventure,

A good general estimate when you see airline payscales is to multiply it by 1000 and that could be a ballpark estimate for yearly wages.

$85 an hour, roughly $85K for the year.

Lots of things can change this of course. This assumes that 83 hours of credit is what you'd earn. Live in base and work the system a little, you could do more. Commute and try to fly a low-time schedule to enjoy more time off, maybe a bit less. But it's gets you close for an estimate at most places.

I was being facetious, sure I can get to London one way or another, SLC, MSP etc (easier than PHL or BOS). Just bummed when we lose a "hub" sub-premium wide body flight (not that SEA is a hub). Before, if the flight was full, go home and try tomorrow. Now, gotta get to another hub and cross the fingers.

Doesn't make it any sweeter that it's being replaced by a Virgin 787-9.

Thought the Seattle hub was gonna grow, that is all, good night.

The flight never carried any loads. It was a non revs delight! We did not lose a widebody flight however. We moved the flight to PDX replacing Virgin. It was a swap.

The EFB recovery video......that was hilarious. I must be getting dumber by the minute. I hope everyone else followed that better than me. After about 15 seconds in I all heard was BLAH BLAH BLAH>>>BLAH BLAH BLAH.. Totally lost.
