We were supposed to get 5 this year but it shows our 5th aircraft as number 164. They delivered 39 in 2016 and are hoping for 80 in 2017. Seems like we will be lucky to get 2 or 3 next year.

They are supposed to ramp up production soon, you are right it's delayed, I guess I would say to keep things positive, at least we are not dealing with the delays they had with the Dreamliner when it first came out.

Evidently I don't have the right combination of hardware and browsers.

With Firefox I get stuck at Self Service "server not found".
Safari gets me a little farther, My W2 gets "can't open"

Delta IT strikes again. Who thought anyone would use a Mac?

I find that Deltanet docs don't like to open for me unless I use Chrome.

Just curious: My wife is considering retiring a little early from her job, and we are currently using her health insurance. I am assuming we have to wait until next year "open enrollment" to switch to Delta health coverage? I will check tomorrow, but just curious if anyone has experience going through the motions here...

Thanks

Pretty sure you can change. Your wife "losing" her insurance is a life event and you can sign up before open enrollment. I believe you have a certain amount of time to apply after your wife quits though.

Stryder is correct.

You DO NOT have to wait for next year's open enrollment at Delta. Your wife leaving her job, hence being removed from that insurance coverage is considered a "life event" and qualifies you for immediate coverage under one of Delta's plans

From firsthand experience, all of the above is correct. A few summers ago my wife left her job (we had been on her insurance for 10 years) and the next month we were on the Delta HSA plan with no break in coverage.

2 hours prior to block-out delta.com shows 8 open economy comfort seats for a recent DH. I called CS to swap and was told there are none available, and that they have more current/correct info than what delta.com shows. Called the PSC where I was told CS is full of stuff and got my seat switched. 2 hours later I board and there were plenty of empty economy comfort seats available, even after I got mine and the captain's seats upgraded. I FCR'd it, I'm waiting for those results as well as the 1.5 million I won from some prince from Nigeria who only required my bank account number and SSN to process the winnings.

That said, I see only 3 general possibilities and none of them look good.

1. CS is not properly trained to upgrade seating
2. CS does not have the proper IT tools to upgrade seating
3. CS is disdainful of their fellow employees and chooses to lie about availability of seating in the hopes we just quit calling.

Thats why I just called the PSC every time.

I heard some grumbling last trip, but I smiled. Didn't ask how we even have the benefit.

You should see what was on a SEA flight attendant Facebook page. Some of it beyond nasty and even threatening. When I tried to copy one individual's name to insure he never works a flight I am flying the flight attendant closed the page before I could get it. Let's just say that Fing Pilots was the nicest thing said!
