With the SSP winding down, however, if they mixed 'off-the-street' and SSP on the same day, the successful OTS guys would be put into their pool and the SSPs would be put into theirs (to be metered out of 9E at whatever rate is currently happening). |
Carry-out trip question:
I'm trying to figure out my 'personal credit window' for May's bid. I have a trip that starts in April and carries over to May 3. I understand that all of the trip's 'credit' (4:59) is payed in May, but what else is included in May for bid/pay purposes? To complicate things, I fly a red-eye that departs on the night of the 1st and lands on the morning of the 2nd (crossing the bid periods). How much of that flight's block time is Apr -vs- May credit? On the NAVBLUE calendar there are three numbers: On the left, by the pairing number it has C/O: 11:15 On the right it has the trip credit of 27:11 and under that it has I/P Credit: 008:06 So, is the May portion of the trip 11:15/8:06/some other value? Thanks in advance. |
I/p is in period credit. Look at the results tab to see how much pre month credit u have to start.

Training in May...How should I bid
I've got 18 days of training in May not including the two PTP days in front. There are 7 shadow days post training and 4 days avail pre training. Can I bid either Reserve or a trip over those shadow days? Would I actually work them or would they be dropped with pay no credit?
I usually bid Reserve in training or vacation months but with the shadow days I've heard guys bid max credit. WSY? Thanks. |

Max credit would get you most pay. Answer to bolded would be yes.

Could just be semantics, but trips are never awarded in a shadow period, so they are never dropped. This is important when considering pay, as you don't receive pay for days of a trip that fall outside the shadow window. For instance, a five day trip that starts on the last day of a shadow period will only yield one day of pay and not five. And that five day trip will be awarded to a junior bidder at the original award as though you never bid it (unless it doesn't fit into a junior bidder schedule, in which case it goes to open time).

This is completely incorrect. I was awarded a 5 day trip on the last day of my shadow period last August. Got paid for the entire thing. A VERY good month.

Anyone else getting conflicting information between the New PBS site and the Old PBS site?
For example, I search pairings on the Old site (Ex: Days off, check in time, check out time, pairing length) and I get a long list of pairings that fit that parameter. If I load the exact same criteria into the New site, I'll 2, maybe 3 or 4 pairings that are displayed. ***!?! |
