It's supposed to have a link for it under crew resources/archived communications but May's link isn't listed yet.

If your on deltanet and you just search "crew resources may update" it's the first hit and comes right up.

On my end, that gets May 2016; refining to include 2017 doesnt get the current one either. Ideas?

Well I'll be, you are correct sir, I guess the only place to see it is via the surface/content locker until they get around to posting a link in the archives area.

Did you subscribe to the weekly and monthly updates via personal email? That's how I got it.

Open question:

I am working an ATL-CDG-ATL trip in a few days and would like to bring back several bottles of wine. A few years ago I did this and simply put them in my suitcase and rolled my bag into the cockpit. Has anything changed about this process? More wine is requested by the wife and I don't wish to disappoint!

I read it via the monthly update from Steve Dickson. At the bottom it had a link to the CR newsletter. Basically, to mitigate the back flow of pilots as a result of the MD88 closures in NYC and CVG, when they know we are taking delivery of a lot of aircraft, (they don't want guys to get displaced, trained, then move back up to something higher paying and trained again) they are going to post every known vacancy for the next 12 months and make it a 365 day bid.

It's a smart move to reduce training, but like any bid with a lot of seats available, some seats are going to go really, really junior. I wish I wasn't seat locked....I'd bid 330A. That seat lock is going to save me from myself.

I am required to do the same on all CDG trips ;)

You will have to take the wine out of your bag for CDG security - not a big deal but they do extra screening. Don't forget to declare it to US customs.

Crazy question for historical buffs.

When did Delta Air Lines and NWA join ALPA?

1930s?

I can't find it on alpa's website.

27 July 1931. Council 1.
