Yes. I called IT three times in 5 days. They were able to do something each time to get my password to work without resetting it. A different excuse from them each time, but they did 'fix it' each time.

"Plans" are not compatible with "space-available" travel. If more people recognized the trap that is NRSA, there'd be a lot less angst all around. It serves a purpose, but these days there's no excuse to rely on it when travel plans aren't flexible.

Honestly, that 2 hour prior lister is probably going about it the right way, not the wrong way.

We booked a one way cruise from Anchorage to Vancouver a couple years ago and asked if there were many families on the ship. The agent told us there were lots of families. She was right, but most of the kids were my age..

Old folk like to be close to a place to lie down with a convienient pot. Hence the popularity of the "Cruise."

I'm changing it through DeltaNet. I click on "forgot my password" after the system locks me out and follow the prompts.

I haven't called them yet. I just keep resetting my password after telling them the town in which my parents met and my mother's middle name for the fourth time this week. It looks like I'm back in for the moment. Fingers crossed.

Of course if you have an important reservation (rental car/hotel/cruise ...) flying standby is not the way to go. But if your plans are flexible I'd much rather roll the dice and wind up with DeltaOne across the pond vs steerage.

My problem is with people who were planning a trip and decide at the very last minute to list for a flight -- thus crushing the plans of those who list early. I mean, why not list early so all the players have as much knowledge as possible of their chances of getting on the flight. Trying to take a little game theory out of the equation.

You are dealing with an "E-Bay" mentality.

For exactly that reason I don't bother checking flights or listing way out in advance. It changes so much that it's not worth stressing over until a couple days prior.

As others have said if i have to be there I buy tix. If we're flexible on flights or even destination, I don't hammer out the plan until it's close in. Not trying to hose anyone, just the name of the nonrev game. Even the best laid plan can be undone by an IROP. Why worry about that a month in advance?

It's even more important when you're on your vacation. Checking loads for the return is a sure fire way to stress yourself out Easier said than done not to peek though
