Good thing, or the FO who got time off for my IOE would've been stuck the entire trip! Also goes to prove the new system is better, even with a dumbass operating from the right we still managed to safely convey passengers from multiple point A's to B in busy airspace and dog-doo wx without some hapless FO stuck in the JS! We're fortunate to have some really good LCAs.

Once in the express days we had observation new hire on js during Ioe so I was not only not released but had to ride in back for 2 days / 4 legs to get back to base.

If I list for an American flight via Myidlisting do I need to do anything else prior to just showing up at the gate? The last time I did this the gate agent said something like she did not show me listed for the flight even though I listed via the website. Do I need to check in via a kiosk prior to showing up at the gate?

Thanks Scoop

I sicked out of a trip in April.

In terms of block limitations that would affect my May bid, would the block time of the sicked out trip count towards block limitation for the trips in May? (100 hours in 28 days)

Thanks in advance.

No, the FAA only cares about what you actually did, not credit, not sick, not vacation etc....

You fly 100 hours of block per month!? I hope you’re not on the 88!

No. 100 hours on the 88 would kill me. As a WB FO, though, I still have time for a second job, a couple of hobbies and a whole other family in Asia.

Thanks for the responses about the block limit.

The FAA only cares about actual block but the contract also cares. I believe once you exceed 75 hours of sick leave a year they count any additional hours against your block limit.
