That number has been a few thousand lower than we actually have for the 5 years I've been here. I think it's the number required just to fly the block hours, not counting reserves, training, etc...

Yep it’s bare minimum contractual staffing requirements.

Looks like another rough day with that east coast weather. Today on the bus I’ve been called 4 times for greenslips and twice already for inverse assignments. Nice to see reserves the rest of the month all below the threshold 🙄.

Next month NYC320A will see about 1/3 of the pilots with reserve lines.

Public service announcement...,,,
If you are fatigued, call in fatigued. Don’t think about the company, don’t think about the Union, think about yourself, your crew, your passengers, and the families of all of the above. They are counting on you to get them there safe.
Do not feel pressured to continue if you are too tired. We have a great policy here don’t abuse it but use it when you know you are too tired to fly

No more split rotations. There are 50ish more CAs than FOs. If you look at the expected PBS line count on Deltanet it shows roughly a 2/3 line, 1/3 reserve breakdown. My guess Is NYC320A guys will be deadheading all over the place covering the other bases.

It'll be interesting to see the fallout from our poor performance as of late. Shocker that building nearly all 4 day trips with days 8:30 and greater fell apart horribly, all while cutting out staffing pads (and nearly shutting down hiring).

I found it ironic that in In Command a few weeks ago, they were bragging about how we never cancel flights, while we were all basically screaming "this is going to come apart hard the way you've pulled the pads."

A few hours later it royally came apart with piles of cancellations, and it hasn't let up since.
