The deadlines and requirements in the PWA evolved to balance our desire for early notifications, with the desire of the company to have flexibility. I've been a witness to the evolution, and I'm glad we don't get "day after" dates that get moved...which tends to cause more hassle in my life..

BS said back in MAY that the new software was working well, and he should have conversion dates out within a few hours of the AE results being published.

Obviously not the case - we saw after the May AE how the software just wasn't working right. But it's been six months... you think they would have solved the problems. Apparently its a manual process, but screams for automation.

I don’t even have a dog in this fight. I get where you are coming from. My gripe is they have appeared at best incompetent and at worst negligent in crew resources. This master plan of theirs backfired and it’s causing a pile up on the training report. Normally, I wouldn’t care, but when you begin to dig as to why it is how it is, it’s frustrating.

Ok, now back to an important question! ;)

When you have been rerouted how long does it take for reroute pay to show up on your time card? When the trip is “closed?” A couple days after its CLSD? Thanks,

Also, does anyone know how reroute pay is calculated?

Denny

Another question from someone who is technologically impaired.....how do you update MiCrew?

It usually shows up before you even finish the trip, but definitely by the time it shows closed. At least that has been my experience with it.

Use the workspace app that is/should already be downloaded on your device. Once you’re in click micrew to download and it’ll do it. Easy peesy.

PWA 23.L shows a couple of reroute examples, as does Contract Awareness Bulletin 15-04 (March 2015)...I would start there to see if your retoute matches any of those examples regarding how it might pay.

That’s what I thought and has happened in the past but nothing has been added. Guess I will call the Union. Thanks

Thanks! That was easy peasy! Hopefully last time I will have to do that! :)

I’ll take a look. Thank you. It was an international pairing that changed from pax flight to cargo/ferry flight and arrived back in base more than 25 hours after scheduled. It shows RR on my schedule but no RR pay on my time card. According to the SRH:

“The only situations in which a pilot whose reroute is scheduled to release beyond the time limitation will NOT receive reroute pay is when the late release is due to the closure of the pilot's departure or arrival airport or weather along the pilot's route.”

According to that quote, I should get it.

Denny

Edit: Nevermind....it just showed up on my time card.
