The trips will be dropped with pay protection. They can then send you for bounces over the footprint of your original trips. You could also go over your off day, but that would be a proffer.

Do you know where the reference is for that Cap? I’m on a MBL and had RECY pop up on my schedule. Good thing I checked it cause they didn’t even bother to call me to let me know it was there. It was definitely over off days since the whole month is off days. Also means the union’s claim of “no obligation to the company except for inverse assignment during an MBL” is incorrect. Or at least the company is interpreting it that way.....
Absolutely nothing says you were required to check your schedule or company email during your MBL. |

I expire 11 Feb. If I bid a line, what happens to the trips after the 11th if I’m unable to get line operations currency? It’s a busy month for the fam and I don’t want to be scheduled for recency over times I need off.

Jeepers.
The flightaware cancellation numbers for a certain carrier on Christmas are rather sobering. 10%, 100+ flights, so far. With 1/3 of the seats still blocked off, I’d imagine rebooking is exceptionally challenging. Weather in the NE surely a part of it? No idea how accurate those numbers are, but it’s pretty alarming considering how many pilots are on the payroll sitting around with nothing to do. I have concerns. |
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!
God bless, and here’s to a better 2021! 🥂 |
