A little break from the union politics awfulness:
Latest rumor mill going around the AA guys is they are going to get our 787 orders and we'lll get their 350 orders. " don't see that happening. We did defer our first A350's until 2018, because we have too many 787's coming and they wanted to level out the deliveries. The orders are still there, just pushed back. It gave our capital expense a break and also helped Airbus since they are behind with that airplane. I guess Delta will now be the first US operator of the A350. AA still wants the plane, since it is bigger than the 787 and can go just as far. All subject to change of course. " |

All such transactions are put on hold while PBS is running, just in case the change causes an illegality with next months schedule. It'll probably go through on the first PCS run after sept schedules are loaded into ICrew.

Yeah, that must've been it. The swap went through on the 5pm PCS run yesterday but still not sure what Aug 24-25 has to do with Sep.
Want to get even more confused? That same restriction (inhibiting swaps during the PBS processing) does NOT apply to white slips! It used to, but due to line feedback that restriction was removed, with the caveat that a pilot could submit a WS request with the understanding that a trip removed in the next month due to an FAR conflict would be dropped without pay. But the restriction is still in place for swaps. Confusing, I know. |
I have a shadow period from 3-17 Sep. I was able to do a really good bid that got me 77 hours and the last trip begins on the 17th (golf clap). I thought that trips awarded during a shadow period are dropped and immediately returned to the pot for subsequent bidders, yet all 3 trips are currently on my line in both icrew and the wide report. Is this a mistake or will they come off at some point in the very near future?
