they didn’t say it’s inherently impossible, it’s unlikely because Americans are resistant to vaccination.

I should have gone with my gut, but I didn't. I'm stuck here now and will attempt to make the best of a crappy situation. Let me guess sailing, you are ATL based?
You’re not stuck. Go apply.

or bid a line instead of reserve.

or recognize that hard times happen and that this isn’t even that bad of a situation.

Unlikely versus impossible? You're seriously going to parse it?

To be clear: I applied, interviewed was given a CJO but turned it down for DAL. Bridge burned. No going back over it. Should not post on here using my phone.

This site is a good place to get some relevant info, hints, tips and open to some inquiry that points you in the right direction for further research. We have some very good, knowledgeable posters here. Most of the time though this site is like cancer. Thanks for affirming that once again for me OOfff. Cancer.

Yes, because the reason it’s unlikely is the behavior of misinformed Americans, not the behavior of the virus itself.

So go apply to another cargo carrier. UPS is hiring.

or bid a line instead of choosing reserve and complaining about it.

or recognize that things aren’t as bad as you want them to be, posting [erm…] cancerous negativity for a year.

we have places in which improvements should be welcome, but you’re consistently one of the most negative, self-pitying people on this site. Buck up a little. Your life is only as bad as you let it be. The KOMPANY didn’t screw you nearly as much as your own attitude has.

Or maybe no one cares anymore because no one trusts anything from any source of authority on this issue after the last year. And maybe the CDC is wrong about this like they have been wrong about most things and is no longer a credible organization.

maybe so, I’m just clarifying the CDC’s position.

Please, please go find something else to do. This job is miserable when you’re flying with miserable people. For your own sake, and more importantly for the sake of everyone else you’ll fly with for the rest of your career, go somewhere you’ll be happier. You’re not offering solutions, you’re not offering constructive criticism. You’re just crying about Delta not being the career you had imagined you were entitled to. I have zero doubt you’ll be miserable wherever you go, but this pilot group really doesn’t need that attitude.

This should be a sticker or a lanyard!

The only thing worse than someone miserably b1234ing an entire rotation is someone who doesn’t remember the last rotation you flew with them…that they b1234ed about the exact same stuff.

On second thought there actually is something worse…the guy who does the above even AFTER you tell him “Yeah, I remember you said that last time…”

Who are you to say I am miserable at my job when I am doing it?

Since OOfff is all about pulling my old posts up, OOfff go pull the one up where I said I was being openly honest about this airline and the circumstances I found myself in - however I would make the best of the situation. Being honest here on this forum is not the same thing as going with it into work, Bluto.

I always conduct myself in a professional manner while representing this airline when on duty. That will never change or be compromised.

I have offered solutions and constructive criticism of recent events. Again, OOfff, go pull up some of my old posts. Lots of discussion there and solutions offered. What are yours bluto?

However, you would be correct that I am not a koolaid drinking 4th floor wanna be. I am a professional at work. That is what I get paid to be. Don't misconstrue postings on a anonymous web board as what a person is truly about.

In the industries outside airlines one can move around very easily when not satisfied. In fact, you'd have poachers approaching you in order to hire you away from gig "x" to work for them. Or you could go out looking. You never started from base "0".

That's the problem here. Once on an seniority list you are sort of married to that airline after a certain period of time - unless it goes under or merges. Sure you can toss it away, but that would be something drastic. Why give up 6+ years seniority to start at the bottom somewhere else? That would be pretty stupid wouldn't you agree?

Now, if we had some way of overcoming that, perhaps some form of reciprocity amongst the lists, maybe we'd be better off. That is not the case and more than likely never going to come to fruition.

So I will ***** here about stuff that irks me. Chances are I'm not the only one thinking similarly. That I can verify as fact given the many recent cockpit discussions I've had.

Sorry bluto, I'm not a fanboi.

nobody accused you of being unprofessional at work. We just see someone being a constantly negative, self-pitying personality because he didn’t get what he thought he was entitled to…in a black swan event.

In my experience, if you come across as a jerk online, you are also a jerk in real life.
