The new category can start up any month during the conversion window, maybe all at once, but more likely in waves.
It's possible you could convert in Jan and be the plug for 6 months even though you had a 50% restriction on your bid. The qualifiers are for after all conversions. DTW777 is particularly vulnerable, since it's counting on 2 airframes yet to be delivered. |

If your password isn't all numeric you need to use the codes ( A = *21 etc) to input the associated letters.
Just me maybe, but my old man memory can't do too many more passwords. Remembering codes for the codes is way too difficult. The next internet gazillionaire will be whoever figures out how to get rid of the dozens of user ids and passwords we're all expected to remember nowadays. |

If your password isn't all numeric, I would change it to all numeric.

DAL-N users must have at least one Alpha numeric in their password  |

Anyone,
Sorry for the thread creep here. Im trying to book a hotel room for my 767 bounces in DTW. They're not for another 6 weeks yet, but Im apparently past the deadline to make such arrangements. To talk to the people at DAL crew scheds, I have to use the VRS. Which of my passwords do I use to get through to them. Im not having much luck. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks G To take it further, let's hear from the people who live in the northeast who live within 2 hours of one of the three NY bases and 1) can actually afford it and 2) can send their kids to decent schools. I'm pretty sure I'm heading north here shortly after the MOAB. |
Hi, I am a DTW DC9A (reserve). I am new to the forum, it seems like a good resource for the DAL pilots. I have 3 question for DAL S guys:
1. On short call, will crew scheduling clear you straight to the gate on a minimum time call? 2. Is it customary for F/Os to log landings for the crew or do both do it separately? 3. How long after block-in on a layover must I wait for the hotel van before getting a cab. Thanks, BV |

No such thing as thread creep in this thread, we've covered everything possible relating to the aviation industry.

according to Steve Dickson last week, this bid does not account for any of the new aircraft. For the record he said in 2010 we have 2 777s, 2 738s, and 12 MD-90s. On the other hand all the DC-9-30s and 40s are being retired.
I was thinking about it too. 34 DC9's vs mentioned above - no extra pilots needed, right? |

I don't go back and look unless I get the pop up on DBMS telling me to watch out for landing currency. 3.) I believe contractually it is 20 minutes at the curb and then if you cab it, keep a receipt and expense it on your rotation via the "expenses" tab on DBMS. You will have to fax the receipt into payroll or whereever it says to. Just checked the contract (Sec. 5) and it is 20 min.: 5. The Company will provide transportation between a lodging facility and the airport or other work location. If transportation is not provided, or is delayed more than 20 minutes, a pilot may arrange his own transportation and the Company will reimburse him for his actual necessary transportation expenses.
