Flt Ops appears to want a measured response to the GUM issue. We do not want to base out there and then have marketing pull the service in a year.
As I understood it, they may start with the NWA 755 esque trips at first. (Sooner rather than later), then move to a base. |

That's my guess also. With the 320 in SLC and the ALK code share, we don't really need the 73's in SLC or LAX any more. I'll do GUM in a heartbeat, but not for 60-90 days and not without my family.

Time to vent a little......
Was on short call this AM and got the call at 0500 for a sweet 24 hr 4 day trip. My first thought was that I would get close to 30 in 7 right around Christmas. Sweet!!! I do the first turn, to EWR, get re routed for a domicile layover. Sweet!! Until I realize that reserves dont get those. They dropped the rest of my trip, I go home. I get on ecrew to find out that they assigned the rest of my trip to another reserve with a lower RAW score. What the F!!! I know people have a laundry list of things to change in the C2012, but treatment of reserves needs to be up there!!! (Unless I'm a line holder by then) Kidding!! Trips should be worth equal time regardless of your classification and rules should be the same. What purpose does it serve to remove one reserve from a trip, only to put another reserve on it? Rant Over!!! Knibb High School football rulz!!! and so does Odoil!!! |

I'm wondering if we will even MD out of the DC9's. If they're are going to be 98 unfilled seats(or whatever it is) it would seem more advantageous from a cost standpoint to just let people AE out of it.
Sorry, just thinking out loud. |
Beer, the answer is that it is contractual. Period.
I agree that reserves should get a domicile layo if they are rerouted in to one, and that we should have trip credit on every trip flown. |
